Evening Strictlyites!

It's so go to be back with you all, especially after my very sad departure last year.

Well I can't say there's an obvious winner at the moment and to be honest, I prefer that as it makes it more exciting. Looking at the vids though, for a big lady, Alison in pretty nimble on her feet!

Can't wait for it to start!

What happened last year?

Sadly my Mum passed away just before Christmas, two weeks after being diagnosed with a brain tumor, which was a huge shock for me and my family.

However, I have remained positive and kept happy as she would have wanted. Mum like myself, was a big Strictly fan and therefore, I can still watch it and smile at the happy memories.

But seriously what in the blue hell were ITV or BBC thinking putting their two big hitters against each other tonight”

I'm glad, I don't watch X factor, I know very few people who do.

I've struck lucky tonight, my little girl went to sleep like a lamb, I made the grumpy breadwinner a steak dinner and he's left me with some chocolate and coffee while he's gone for a drink with his mates.

A rare treat for me to watch strictly uninterrupted

What a beautiful post Lil - my family love Strictly, it definitely brings people together, something I love about it. And we can all squabble over scores, favourites etc.

Glad you're back with us - so excited to see the celebrities dance for the first time, it always feels so wonderful seeing them hit the floor that first week!

Excited!

Sorry to hear that, Lil, but again I'm glad that people (you included) are able to find happiness in something like this if not just to keep the memories alive.

Let's hope for nothing on the Pendedrama level tonight, either. Or then again, perhaps some people are...

Really looking forward to seeing Caroline and Pixie (and Jake, if he's dancing tonight), but I think all the couples will make for a great, great show.
