Soap characters never have an unsignificant illness. She'll probably die of pneumonia within a fortnight!

Maybe the actor had a cold so they wrote it in.

Or it could be part of the Tim storyline

Spoiler

I wondered where it was going too. Maybe it was so that when Tim hilariously got stuck on the roof fixing the aerial she could be indoors watching TV and gorging on chocolates so much she couldn't hear Tim's cry for help from the roof.

Have no fear, Muddie's here. She will miraculously cure Sally, at the same time as coaching Tim for his BA in English Literature. All grist to the mill on her path to canonization.

The upcoming storyline about Time not being to read is a bit silly, since he has appeared on screen reading on a number of occasions!

Short memories of the hat?

What if he was pretending to read, so no one would suspect he can't? This looks another 'issue-led' story, and I hope Corrie do this one right unlike the recent ADHD, stalker and restorative justice let downs

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall him commentating on something he was reading.

He's been in the Bistro several times with Sally, surely she'd notice if he had difficulties reading the menu, David said he couldn't pronounce half the stuff on there while working for Nick, so it doesn't sound like a typical menu with Tim's favourite meals on to order without reading. Plus Faye tracked him down through Facebook and used text to tell her when he was engaged to Sally. Blackburn just picks storylines out of his hat to give to random characters.

Oh this is the set up for the next affair Sally sneezes all over Maddeh. Then she starts wiping Maddeh down and they realise that they are meant for each other and they start an affair for months and months when Michelle finds out and says to Sally that Tim deserves this as he is a horrible human being and Michelle goes along with it . Until one day Sawfeh finds out after Ken catches them takes a picture and shows it to Sawfeh so Sawfeh climbs onto the Webster's roof only to fall but Maddeh catches her and they realise they are meant for each other. And Sally slaps Tim when he says she's a cheating liar and goes back to Kevin. Steve finds out Michelle knew and he says Michelle so she slaps and says she's going to leave she walks down the street whilst Steve falls to his knees crying for Michelle screaming her name saying he is nothing without her. She kicks him and says fine I will get back together with you.

SB has said this storyline is supposed to be amazing and he realises that the cobbles haven't had a good affair storyline for ages and he believes these are the right characters for the next amazing affair. It is really going to change the cobbles forever with many characters affected.

Sorry should have put that in a spoiler tag.

Sally is probably the only person in the world who would rather be told they've got some exotic disease rather than a common cold

I smiled at this! As for Tim not being able to read I'm sure I've seen him reading. Sally's cold either means the actress had a cold or Sally will end up in hospital for some reason. If it's a story led cold the actress has done a good job. I thought she was poorly in real life.

How do they make it sound like they have a cold?

That could come in handy.

her diction was terrible. I'm surprised she didn't ask Tim to go to the shop and get her some "Dight Durse"
