Corrie is refreshing in my eyes, surely as a soap watcher you want a full mixture of story's.
And at the end of the day if anybody doesn't like it, why waste your 30 minute slot it is on |

Not sure if serious?
I could post plenty of negative articles and comments during the time Collinson was producer. He almost destroyed the show single handedly, with his gay agenda and sensationalist storylines. And some of the lines and their delivery were weak! However the BIB I completely disagree with, sorry! |

Andrea then decided to try and join him to talk to him but the ladder slipped from under her feet. One problem with the aerial shots looking from The Rovers over to Tim? The blatant CGI roof of Nuttall's Brewery facade (the MOSI on the old Granada backlot.) |

I didn't mind last night shows.
But for 2 people on a roof, why was part of the road sealed off, and did it really need half of weather field fire service there. Tiny Paul and Princess Toni could have saved the day, if they were still around |

I agree with so much of your post, and yes, the bit where Eva invites Todd to stay in the flat, Ye Gods. Knowing what how Jason feels towards him it doesn't enter her bubble head to consider the further inflaming of the already boiling situation. Dumb Because she's blonde or something. YAWN. Funny because I remember her as saying some great one liners and barbed remarks not too long ago.
Maybe a piece of Tyrone's ceiling hit her on the head or something. I also find it becoming totally embarrassing to watch. At first I was starting to get embarrassed to be watching it in front of others being aware of what being seen to be being indulging in the crappy stories said about me. Now I'm embarrassed for myself and starting to think I must have some sort of sad existence and low boredom threshold or mental illness to go on being a Corrie viewer. And that is so much worse. Just try watching an episode of Twin Peaks being reshown on the Skyfy channel and after it try watching an episode of Corrie. You'll see what I mean ![]() ![]() Andrea's "acting" whilst she was hanging from the ledge was laughable. |

I was half expecting Muddie to appear from the cgi background in a lycra costume, fly up and swoop across the rooves, tucking one man under each arm. before spinning a huge Web, spiderman style, to act as a safety net to soften Andrea 's fall! They might as well embrace the madness.
Who ever said we don't care about the characters is spot on which is good cos it's not too late. They should spend more time focusing on ones we do care about , in storylines that tally with their personalities, use the others as props, simple. |

Absolutely awful episodes, have we really just gone through weeks and weeks of Neil stalking Andrea for it to end like that? ... The part with Tim and Sally was bad enough.
If anyone has the episode on sky, fast forward or backwards...and watch the sky in the background when the are on the roof, you will see jerky movements of the cgi sky background. So clearly not on a roof. If you was on the roof of that pub you would be gripped with fear, but they are sat on it having a chat, lol. Also this business with Michael, I don't remember him being ill or showing any symptoms of being ill til his auntie showed up. As for Carla taking madden under her wing, omg noooooo |

would have taken a minute to take the ladder to Tim, get him down and then put the ladder back.. I do not see the point storywise to keep Tim up there !!!!

Surprised no one has mentioned this maybe I dreamt it. Kirk and Beth coming out with a small stepladder, and a tiny piece of foam. Kirk is not the brightest but surely even he is not that stupid.
AS for Craig munching on a whole unsliced loaf, simply too ridiculous to be funny Are any of the actors brave enough/daft enough to say to the writers or producer, "this is crap you cannot expect me to do/say this!" |

I would much rather watch 'Invitation to Love' on repeat than current Corrie.
![]() Andrea's "acting" whilst she was hanging from the ledge was laughable. Corrie is missing that vital ingredient,,,,PASSION!!!!!! Where is the love?? and not to mention the hate! ![]() And yeah Andrea's mole is a better actor than she is. She's unworthy of the name. |

For me Phil Collinson's biggest mistake was the Tram Disaster. The look on the driver's face as he plunged off the viaduct into Dev's and Sunita's shop was very, very laughable.

A bigger mistake of Phil Collinson was to give his bestest friend a part in the show and push the character of Stella into every storyline. Now, Stuart Blackburn is doing the same thing with Muddie; I hope this will be his downfall.
Stella could have been a great character... Instead she never took off and it's no surprise why! Maddie should be alright too, but she's got her work cut out! |

Sorry to say but totally agree. Out of the 3 main soaps Corrie has spiralled into a total mess. Bitty, stupid storylines, awful acting pointless characters and no real direction. If it was an animal I would say put it out of its misery now.
However, I like Corrie, I would hate to see it die, but it needs someone new at the helm and some decent writers. Come on lets do a Brian Park and axe the deadwood - there's a lot of it (MADDIE AND SOPHIE hint, hint )

Oh FFS, it wasn't THAT bad. Nowhere near as bad as the Eastenders "walking backwards" episode, or the one where Den came back from the dead.

All soaps have bad weeks, months or even years. Eastenders has gone through them, but Corrie really has had a crud patch at the moment - lets hope it steers out of it. |

Haven't read 4 pages of posts in this thread, but guessing my take will be different from the rest. Husband & I watched on YouTube last night & laughed our way through some highly menial paperwork at hand. Nearly half the street went out to see the "action" which alone amused. Simple story, simple people, simple show & I love it. It began as a kitchen sink drama; I'd like to see more, personally.

It was stupid to keep Tim up there to be honest, why wouldn't Liz let Tim use his own ladders, if she was so insistent though surely someone else in the whole Street must of had a pair ladders somewhere. Silly storyline .
Maddeh started out as an opportunist thief frequenting a soup kitchen - scruffy, bad mannered and all round unpleasant person, but suprise suprise - she turns out to be a lesbian and Sawfie falls for her - jeeeeez, the writers must make it up as they go along. Sally allows her to stay in her house - a real SoR - and now maddeh is all cleaned up, champion packer and capable of holding down 2 jobs. She was originally portrayed as living on the streets despite having a home and a brother she deeply cared for. All so ridiculous. Don't the writers get together to thrash out a storyline anymore? It's a bit like that game we used to play where you write down something on a piece of paper, fold it over and hand it on to the next person who writes something else and passes it on etc. etc until at the end the paper is unfolded to reveal a silly story. I swear that is the way they write Corrie nowadays.

Corrie has ALWAYS had its crazy street moments when everyone comes out to watch!
It dates back to Ena and Elsie having that handbag fight in the 60's! Classic ![]()

About the roof fiasco...someone suggested it was meant to be humorous. I must be missing something .
