Well the next 6 months up to the live episode is meant to be 'Unmissable TV' time will tell of course or it might just be more of the same.

Whats the betting that now he has decided to get rid of the hens that they start laying after all this time.
If that is the case then it is so predictable!

Anyone know if there's the intention to release a dvd of the entire Nazir Chicken storyline? I'd really love to be able to live through it time and again given how seriously ****ing gripping it's been.

I've had it with Corrie now. After 28 years of watching, I'm done. It's crap. I've defended it time and again when people have slagged it off, but I can't do it anymore.

There will be a DVD coming out 2 weeks this Wednesday;

It is called - "Coronation Street Chicken - A Comedy Roast".

If they think I'm buying it they can get stuffed!

These kind of comments are so high school.

I usually rely on Gail to liven things up, but even the boring and unrealistic Gavin/Andy storyline she has become embroiled in doesn't do anything to keep me interested. It's just so far removed from reality to even make it slightly realistic.

Does anyone really care about the Sean/Billy and Emily Bishop storyline?

Only in the way that tonight's episode made me realise that even as a young(ish) gay man, I'd rather have sex with Emily Bishop than with Sean.

I'm not quite sure what to make of that myself, so feel free to judge lol.

I dip in and out and couldn't believe just how awful Corrie was last night. Glad to know it was particularly poor, and isn't always quite that bad. Hopefully it picks up

where are all of their best actors gone? they've all disappeared at the same time. Like Carla especially, she's the only reason i watch it

I didn't watch the show last night but judging by the comments on here, I don't think I'd have missed much!

Carla is such an overused irritable character, sorry. Especially her voice.

The idiots killed off/got rid of their best and most popular actors:
Tina ( who wanted the door left open for her) but they killed her off instead, after ruining her character.
Brian ( worked really well with Julie, unlike Dev)
Dennis ( a disgraceful exit for a veteran whose character they could have developed, but no, he was completely wasted then dumped)
Tommy ( overreacted by dumping him when a suspension and warning would have sufficed)
Rob, as good as killed off, being a murderer. He and Tracey worked really well together, and he was a popular character if DS comments were anything to go by.

What do we have in their place? Whinging Les Dennis and the Nazirs.
I despair!

Let's not forget the nailbiter that was Katy's 'will she/won't she go to Portugal, and take her furry collar with her'. My talons remained unviolated, but I'm mildly curious as to how she keeps the fake fur so white, what with all that foundation.

And ffs Corrie, for once can we have a young woman NOT react to setbacks by getting blind drunk and trying to have it off with An Unsuitable Boy from t'Rovers. Happy to be corrected by DSers, but to my recollection it's a ruse employed by Becky, Carla, Kylie, Tina, My Beautiful Sunita and probably more. Other self-destructive behaviours are available

HAHAHAHAHA!

I think Chesney needs some criticism in this thread. He was an amazing child actor but he could not be a less convincing working class dad, I cringe every time he comes on screen, I don't understand how he's evolved to be so wooden. I'm certain that single stream of tears when he was telling Katy to go to Portugal was planted on his face by the make up artist.

Emily has turned you Kev Better get some therapy going pretty sharpish!

The chickens are just awful but I'd rather watch a scene with them than Gail telling Andy how much she hates him for making her lie. No Gail, YOU chose to lie. She can't seem to speak a sentence without reminding him. It's really getting on my nerves now.

I do. It's very interesting and Sean is Corrie's top character.

Lets be real, would he ever have been cast into this role given how he looks and acts right now? No chance.
I know the fact that he's ugly shouldn't make any difference but there is no hiding from it. He needs to hold onto this job for dear life.
