I usually rely on Gail to liven things up, but even the boring and unrealistic Gavin/Andy storyline she has become embroiled in doesn't do anything to keep me interested. It's just so far removed from reality to even make it slightly realistic.
Does anyone really care about the Sean/Billy and Emily Bishop storyline? ![]() |

The idiots killed off/got rid of their best and most popular actors:
Tina ( who wanted the door left open for her) but they killed her off instead, after ruining her character. Brian ( worked really well with Julie, unlike Dev) Dennis ( a disgraceful exit for a veteran whose character they could have developed, but no, he was completely wasted then dumped) Tommy ( overreacted by dumping him when a suspension and warning would have sufficed) Rob, as good as killed off, being a murderer. He and Tracey worked really well together, and he was a popular character if DS comments were anything to go by. What do we have in their place? Whinging Les Dennis and the Nazirs. I despair! Quote:
HAHAHAHAHA!
![]() I think Chesney needs some criticism in this thread. He was an amazing child actor but he could not be a less convincing working class dad, I cringe every time he comes on screen, I don't understand how he's evolved to be so wooden. I'm certain that single stream of tears when he was telling Katy to go to Portugal was planted on his face by the make up artist. |

I do. It's very interesting and Sean is Corrie's top character.

Only in the way that tonight's episode made me realise that even as a young(ish) gay man, I'd rather have sex with Emily Bishop than with Sean.
I'm not quite sure what to make of that myself, so feel free to judge lol. |

I actually quite like Billy but in a similar way to Marcus its Sean who drags him down.
I'm not a big Sean hater like most on here but he's much better as a single character in background scenes in the factory |

Hahaha, I’m a reasonably ‘intact’, straight, young-ish woman and I would rather sleep with Emily than go anywhere near Sean, with his blue and white tea towel!

Better get some therapy going pretty sharpish! ![]() The chickens are just awful but I'd rather watch a scene with them than Gail telling Andy how much she hates him for making her lie. No Gail, YOU chose to lie. She can't seem to speak a sentence without reminding him. It's really getting on my nerves now. ![]()

Emily reminds me of my late Nan. I do like her a lot.
I can't stand Sean either, I'd rather sleep with Rita than him!! Seriously, the show is in crisis. No-one cares about the chickens, that Faye, David v Callum (is the actor who plays Callum gay by any chance?), the vicar thing or Gavin/Fake Gavin. The apologists on FB can say what they want, but the show is in a bad state. Changes need to be made. |

Well I've finally got round to watching the episodes and I think the reaction on here is a bit OTT. Neil on the Rovers roof was much worse that this imo. The main problem is that it was an episode filled with weak characters who are ok in small doses but are irritating when the are at the centre of a storyline. Katy, Chesney, Sinead, the Nazirs and Sean. Most of these are just deadwood who nobody cares about.

Sinead's voice, particularly her accent, really bothers me. And I know that's a very minor point, but she constantly comes across as being really simple. Where is she even supposed to be from? Her Auntie Beth manages to sound like a real person.

I think the problem with her is she genuinely can't act but this has only come to light now she has a big storyline and not just wandering around being a goody two shoes. |

I love my Corrie! I am loving the Andy/Gail thing ATM. And the Callum /Max/David storyline. But I must admit it's getting a bit tedious now.......I prefer Emmerdale!
And what the heck was all that chicken and eggs thing about? Was it supposed to be comedy? Corrie comedy used to be one-liners with Blanche/Rita & Norris/Mary & Norris etc.... They are losing the plot without a doubt! |
