What do we have in their place? Whinging Les Dennis and the Nazirs.

Agree with most of this. I didn't know Michelle Keegan hadn't ruled out a possible return one day. That makes it all even more irritating - Tina wasn''t my favourite character but I didn't mind her (up until the surrogacy storyline when she started to become insufferable!) and of course her murder did involve the ridiculous affair with Peter and the loss of Rob, who, I completely agree was a great partner for Tracey.

As it stands I don't know what annoys me more - the awful Nazirs and their chickens or the simpering burglar and his fake son storyline. I think I'd find it more interesting if I wasn't hoping that the truth would come out and bring on the fatal heart attack they are all convinced will happen.

Of course there are a lot of long-standing characters I'd love to see the back of as well, but there's no chance of them going as I can't see anybody wanting to snap up the dross in the cast for another (alleged) six figure salary role.

I agree. Sinead always seems to be bunged up with catarrh, which makes it difficult for her to speak clearly. I wonder if the actress has a problem? She does come across as a bit "slow" but when she first joined Corrie I think I remember her as being quite bright with a little business of her own.

Bullied? How can an imaginary character be bullied? Sean Tully is not a real person - he's a soap character. A crap one at that!

If Antony Cotton plays himself in Corrie then he is bullied.

Well when you put it like that I have to agree I like the Nazirs but you're right, the people they have got rid of is not just a disgrace but also bloody stupid.

Listen to her here:

She sounds totally different.

Now she has a snotty voice and her accent is overdone. Since she got together with Chesney, they've dumbed her down. Now she's meant to be a contrast to the likes of Katie and Steph by sounding dopey, not being able to take her alcohol and by liking frumpy frocks because that's the sort of girl Chesney would be with.

It's an insult really because as you say when she first appeared she was bright and had her own business. Now she just works at the factory. Dopey Sinead couldn't have her own business like Carla, Michelle and Liz could she?

Billy is about as much fun as a poke in the eye, IMO.

What a boring and lifeless character!

Does it matter whether he's playing himself or not? As long as it is the character of Sean Tully that gets berated then the actor isn't being bullied. Otherwise we couldn't criticise any of the crap actors who can only really be play themselves

To me the character of Sean seems to be nothing more than the man with the child in his eyes.

The show does not give me many moments of pleasure lately. Where's the wow factor gone?

Hopefully they can get back on track throughout the year and have a good Christmas build up so that December will be magic again.

Sean and the Nazirs in the same scene wasn't pleasant viewing tonight. Why tonight's episode was promoted so heavily I have no idea.

I have loved Corrie for years - but what happened tonight? Nothing.
I have recently gone back to EastEnders - but again - nothing at all lately!
Emmerdale is my number One yet again!

Yes, it's only a matter of time before the vicar does a deal with God and sends him running up that hill

she also looked great when she went out clubbing with Sean, she's really a pretty girl.

Tonight's show (Wednesday) was one of the worst. Not a single storyline is keeping me interested at the moment. Absolutely nothing is happening.

There isn't even any humour!

I'll always keep watching though. Habit of a lifetime, but it's hard going at the moment.

I actually left corrie on after ED had finished just to see how bad it's got and it was terrible. I can't believe they had a promo for this episode where sod all happened. It's so boring and half the cast are phoning in their performances because even they know how crap the scripts are.

Would it be possible to see a graph of these lows? It would be easier to follow

I am sure Michelle Keegan agreed to the murder plot as they extended her contract for it. There would of been nothing for the character when she left anyway, and I found her irritating before the affair.

The only disadvantage was losing Rob. Now we are stuck with boring gurning Tracy having a boring affair with Tony and trying to get at Liz and Carla. Zzzzzzzzzzz. Corrie really need to cut out with turning male characters into murderers.

Agreed.

Carla VS Tracy... Wtf is the point in that?

The Tony and Tracy affair is also so dull.

I had Liz and I hate Tony, so that doesn't make it any better either.

To answer your question about the male murderers, I shall tell you why... Keiran Roberts. How long has be been executive producer for now, 10 years or so? Far too long for anyone in such a position. Yes, he was responsible for the 2002-2004 magic, but ever since then he has tried to recreate that era time and time again, with another producer in charge. Phil Collinson came close to recreating the golden/highly successful years that were 2002-2004, but Blackburn alongside Roberts has completely destroyed all that hard work and now the show is at an all time low, with a severe ratings decline, over the space of a year or two. Roberts being there for so long, but working with Blackburn has just been the icing on the cake and now all of the cracks are showing. The show for me and a lot of other people is the worse it has ever been. Sorry for going into a rant

I always thought that putting out a spoiler about what is going to happen in future episodes of any soap opera drama was a total NO NO. Yet we have CS actually placing spoilers during the break in the show with clips of the future plots. How stupid, or desperate are they now getting? The show is on the path to ruination and if it maintains the present course it will surely wither away. The acting has never been poorer, the storylines never been weaker and the believability has been shot to ribbons.

No you are correct. And each time they try and recreate the Richard Hillman story it just becomes more pathetic each time. First we had Karl who was a laid back bloke, suddenly turning to murder. Then Rob who finally sorted his life out only to bludgeon someone to death over stolen goods.

And they need to stop repeating a character being wrongfully locked up in prison storyline. They have done this almost every year since Gail was arrested back in 2010.

Despite not being a fan of Tracy she was good with Rob, he could of had potential to go on more years but another character wasted and never coming back. Tracy's villainous act is tiring anyway, is there nothing else to this character? And funnily enough I believe it was Keiran Roberts who decided for her to become a villain.
