Corrie had the best episodes in a very long time on Friday. Tremendous. Superb. Excellent. Amazing.

Fully agree with you. CS was truly a vast improvement. Just when you thought they had dropped the ball they managed to "back of the net" a few times for once on a Friday between 7.30pm and 9pm.

Well I have to say tonight's episodes just felt like a complete mess to me. It was yet another one of those occasions where you could have missed both episodes and watched the next one without even realising you's missed anything. Nothing progressed tonight at all. Just a complete rehash of scenes from Tracy and Tony, Anna and Owen and the Platts with Gavin and moody Gail. Not to mention Sarah, Callum, Bethany etc. They were all scenes we've seen before. Even Carla and Nick had exactly the same drinking at Carla's flat scene last week. What did we even learn tonight? I wish they's quicken up the pace a bit sometimes.

The whole show is still a state imo we get the odd decent episode but most just go round in circles.

Not interested in Gandy.

Don't care about Bethany/Sarah.

Hate Anna Windass.

Can Carla and Nick just get it on?

Between Anna and Bethany I am finding Corrie barely watchable at the moment.

The Faye s/l & to a degree, Bethany are all that's holding my attention on Corrie at the moment !!

Don't give a gnat's fart about Carla & Nick

Sarah & Callum is a cringefest, due to Callum being such a crap character

The whole Gandy thing needs putting to bed now, it's been ignored for weeks & what interest I had is gone, same unfortunately with Sinead, a character I really like, but they've ignored her so long now it's hard to raise interest there too!!

Finally as for this utter crap with Tracy/Tony/Liz, I couldn't care less when or if the affair is
discovered, or if all three characters are splatted by a speeding minibus, taking Todd & his hideously disfigured face with them, if I'm being honest!!

Dare I say I quite like bethany and her sense of humour without the fear of being lynched!
Anna tonight really peed me off& telling owen to go then when he says hes off she manipulates him into a guilt trip using faye as a scapegoat Grrrrrrr I'm still
I think carla and nick look good together in a relaxed platonic kinda way

corrie seemed to have improved the last few weeks but the standard of writing tonight was piss poor full of SORs and a stupid nagging harridan fishwife!!

Me too. I keep finding other things to do when it's on because I can't bear to watch. Gone are the days when it held my full attention.

I watched last night and it wasn't as bad as usual but Sarah/Callum is a joke.

There are too many storylines going on for my liking. I wish they would conclude the Andy saga - when they drag them out for too long, it loses impact. It could have been a really good s/l if the writers had concentrated on it more.

And I keep waiting for Liz to burst a blood vessel when she finds out about Tony & Tracey. Tracey is the best character in Corrie ATM. I noticed how Deirdre got a fleeting reference when Tracey referred to her 'mum & dad'. (I do miss her character )

Remind me why Owen is getting the old heave ho from Anna? It all seemed a bit OTT and sudden. I know he is leaving Corrie, but this is a really poor leaving s/l, especially as she is now guilt-tripping him with reasons as to why he shouldn't go - bizarre.

Mind you, IMO, The Kylie s/l has got to be the silliest ever - as if a mum would leave her children like that, especially a baby. The writers surely had time to think up something better than that?

Tonight was a pathetic excuse for a double bill.

It was dreadful wasn't it? Out of all the storylines (there seems to be dozens of them) there's not one decent one.

What a mess the shows in.

It's all just little stories that don't make sense with Corrie.

A new low tonight. For goodness sake, get rid of Callum and his pathetic sidekicks. It's become a mockery of what was once a great soap.

Even the Corrie Facebook page fan base think so too.

This ongoing Callum and David storyline started badly, got progressively worse and is now just unwatchable. The Fake Gavin stuff isn't far behind. It was painful to watch tonight, like being subjected to some third rate amateur dramatic outfit murdering a classic.

The David/ Callum stuff didn't bother me as much as it seems to have irked others.

It's his sister and her foul offspring who are doing my head in. Tina O Brien is such a bad actress she can't even hold a wine glass in a natural way and the one who plays her daughter would be annoying to watch in a bad school play.
Please will you both bog off back to Italy and stay there.

All of the above for me - Bethany is so miscast, she is bigger than and looks older than her mother but is meant to be 14 (one year older than Faye). Plus she's an appalling brat but apparently we are meant to find that cute/amusing

I really love the idea of old Corrie characters returning with the original actor, unfortunately Jenny & Sarah are not doing it for me. Could be their storylines which are not very exciting. So yes, please bring back old characters, but writers - do a better job please!

I was disappointed in the David/Callum confrontation. The old David would have acted quite differently, he wouldn't have stood there taking it from Callum like a big soft girl. I yearned for the old belligerent David to answer him back and give as good as he got.
