Having been to the Friday opening show 3 years ago, I know it isn't shot over the same night. It's only the results show that masquerades as a Sunday "live" performance.

If you want the presenters to stop shouting will somebody please shut the studio audience up!
Already hissing and booing at Len in the first show - getting on his wick already.

Surely the people sitting in chairs around the floor are adults and can ignore the floor manager idiots waving signs at them.

As is her accent, sometimes it's "cooples and joodges" and other times it isn't.

I was at the Saturday night show and it was done as a separate show. Both Claudia and Tess were nervous at the start - Claudia especially so.

If you read the Monkseal blog he has Tess pretty well summed up " 13 weeks of insincere shouting" to look forward to.
It will be interesting to see what happens if Tess or Claudia are ill during the run. they must have someone lined up to stand in.

Knowing how the BBC think they'd probably draft in Alex Jones

In the name of all that is sacred - no, no, no, not her, ever.

The most irritating screech ever heard on TV.

A most dreadful presenter.

Tess is fine; she and Claudia work well together.

I have to admit always been a fan of Tess, even though others haven't and the launch show of the series her and Claudia worked well. Claudia wasn't on top form this weekend but Tess was so cringey (the bit with the judges hammer) and must agree the constant talking over the judges or "C'mon ladies and gents" or "I loved it what about you ladies and gents". She needs to calm down and just mellow.

(I knew it )

I assume you mean the oo in "brook" and not in "fluke" (depends where you are from, see). Which is entirely consistent with her original locality.

So when it isn't that, what is it?

I have never heard her refer to a "capple" or a "jedge" for example. Nor, given her origins, would I expect to. She may be many things, but she's not Hyacinth Bouquet

Not a fan of Tess but surely a lot of the problem is the script - the lame jokes/puns introducing the contestants. I doubt she writes it or has any input there.

But Bruce used to do exactly the same and according to Zoe on ITT 'we' all love everything and everyone
I think - when the couples are heading back to the kiss and cry area - it's a cue for the audience to give them a bit of a clap and cheer, rather than having them slink off in silence with Craig's dirty nappy comment echoing round the walls

I have a feeling that Tess was completely not herself at the "judge and gavel" moment because this was a scripted joke pushed upon her. If any discerning director actually watches the show back afterwards, he/she may pick up on this and cut out the faux-Brucey stuff.

Does the dreadful Tess deliberately pronounce Ola as rhyming with Cola and not as it should be with collar!! She is either rude or just thick. I am surprised neither of the fiery Jordans have picked her up on this all these years, Bruce was as bad but he seemed to get away with murder, Tess should know better.

I do agree about the pronunciation of Ola's name. It isn't as if it is difficult, is it?

Other than that, I thought Tess was slightly better this week - bit less "shouty" anyway!

Actually I was thinking that Bradley Walsh or John Barrowman would be a better host than either Tess or Claudia.
