Every year on the forum it's the same. Every micro mannerism is examined in obsessive detail and has irrational prejudice projected on to it. Any woman deemed to rise above her station has her looks and character ripped apart. I try to avoid it, but it's everywhere on this forum.”

I think that's a ridiculous comment. People who push their head above the parapet expect to be examined closely. Last year Sophie Ellis Bextor and Abby Clancy, Kimberley Walsh were lovely and they did well. Greg Wallace has had stick so far. I think to imagine it's only pretty girls that get stick is wrong. Everyone gets stick

It gets silly claiming that some have an 'unfair advantage', many have particular attributes that help them. Many people from sport are either very muscular so able to lift their partner easier and other just have the fitness to keep going all the way through a performance without tiring. Some people will have very good memories so able to remember the dance very quickly. Each one is different so it is wrong to concentrate on someone who had some dance classes ten or twenty years ago - I notice ITT showed a picture of Judy Murray at a dance class when she was young.
