I might not like him.. but I can see a glimmer of hope for Gregg with the Charleston. His crazy faces/ nature might help him in this one.

With Gregg having a Charleston, are we to assume that Jake might have the Salsa?

Alison and Aljaz are on ITT tonight (according to her twitter) - so might get to know then.

I'm disappointed that they are not keeping to the one ballroom and one latin for everyone before the first elimination. Regardless of what you think of a celeb, they all deserve at least a go at performing in each style so make the experience representative as possible.

I predict a Judy and Gregg dance off.

Judy, Simon and Alison on ITT tonight - that should mean that we'll only be missing Jake, Mark, Pixie and Scott afterwards.

Trent has tweeted fans to watch him & Pixie on ITT tonight.

4 pairs plus Karen Hardy makes for a very frantic show I think!

Scott and Joanne are on BBC Breakfast tomorrow.

Oooh. That could be good. I imagined Caroline would be good at the more dramatic dances like the Tango, Paso Doble and Argentine Tango

Alison & Alijaz - Foxtrot (ITT)

Perhaps this replaces the American Smooth being introduced in Week 2 like last year and the Foxtrot has been used plenty of times as a Week 2 dance (i.e. by Pendleton).

Simon & Kristina - Tango (ITT)

Updated list, new additions in bold:

Alison & Aljaz - Foxtrot (ITT)
Caroline & Pasha - Tango (Caroline's Twitter)
Frankie & Kevin - Charleston (Frankie's twitter)
Gregg & Aliona - Charleston (Aliona's Twitter)
Jake & Janette - ? (latin)
Jennifer & Tristan - Waltz (Saturday show)
Judy & Anton - Cha-Cha-Cha (Friday show)
Mark & Karen - ? (ballroom)
Pixie & Trent - ? (ballroom)
Scott & Joanne - ? (ballroom)
Simon & Kristina - Tango (ITT)
Steve & Ola - Cha-Cha-Cha (Saturday show)
Sunetra & Brendan - Cha-Cha-Cha (Sunetra's twitter)
Thom & Iveta - Salsa (Saturday show)
Tim & Natalie - Waltz (Tim's twitter)

I think we will see another Waltz, Tango and definitely a Foxtrot being given to Scott, Mark and Pixie respectively.

Foxtrot seems so hard for a week two dance.

I'd say Jake has to be doing the Salsa, only Thom is doing it so far (as opposed to 2 Charlestons and 3 CCCs) and he's the only Latin left.

There's definitely going to be another Foxtrot, that's for certain. I'd probably give it to Pixie, have Mark doing the Waltz and Scott the Tango.

I didn't entirely hear who was on tomorrow, but I think Tim was one and I thought I heard Jake too.

I do wonder if Greg is the only one not doing the opposite style? I wouldn't be surprised if they give Scott another latin to try and recover from his Cha Cha Cha? Like last year it seems the Jive will seemingly be left out despite it obviously being done this week. I agree it seems likely that Jake will have Salsa.

PS: Love this thread where we can speculate, look for clues and post findings.

I think they count Charleston as a ballroom........

Surely not as it has no elements of ballroom hold? I always thought the Agrentine Tango was considered Latin but apparently not (that makes more sense though I guess).

Chris Hollins danced the Charleston as a his 'Latin' dance in the series 7 final, but a lot has changed since then so who knows?

Agreed it helps us decide if someone is objectively worth saving or not too.

AFAIK, Charleston is normally counted as Latin and the Argentine Tango as Ballroom, but with some exceptions made (Chris H has already been mentioned, and I think Dani Harmer did the AT and another Ballroom in the semis as she wouldn't get to do it in the final).

So if that's the same, then Gregg has stayed on the same dance style with Frankie swapping styles - it would probably make more sense that way.

I'm going to guess at the remaining couples having:
Jake & Janette - Salsa
Mark & Karen - Foxtrot
Pixie & Trent - Waltz
Scott & Joanne - Waltz

For as long as I remember, they've classed Charleston as Latin and Argentine Tango as Ballroom. Apart from when the latter was danced in the semis, that is, when I don't think it was classed as anything.

Looking forward to Sunetra's Cha-Cha-Cha. I found her Tango quietly impressive.

They should both be classes as latin imo. The hold is so different in AT.

Seems like a good guess.

There was something I picked up the other day (one of the couples above), but that was more in the same vein as the newspaper articles about Gregg mentioning the salsa (besides the dance mentioned seems quite unlikely to be used in week 2).

We will probably know Scott's dance tomorrow morning.
