Strictly YouTube channel

For those of you who, like me, have been wondering why the BBC haven't been uploading the dances to their YouTube channel, it turns out they've opened an official Strictly channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/bbcstrictly/videos

Good idea. Before, they've had to delete older videos to be able to fit the new ones on, but they've got more space now (hence tonight's pro dance being uploaded too).

Here's how the views look now the Sunday dances have been available for 24 hours (remember the Friday dancers had a day's head-start, plus the Friday show was seen by far fewer people live which could also skew the numbers):

Jake & Janette - 29,594 *
Pixie & Trent - 22,458 *
Caroline & Pasha - 18,019 *
Frankie & Kevin - 11,825
Scott & Joanne - 10,953 *

Jennifer & Tristan - 4,350

Looks like Scott is already on track to become the "entertaining but crap" competitor.

Obviously Jake and Frankie look to be the success stories online of their respective nights, and it's particularly impressive given that they had ballroom dances. For whatever reason (IIRC) latin dances tend to utterly dominate these lists. The other interesting thing to me is Jennifer and Simon level-pegging it on views for two vastly different dances in terms of quality. Jennifer's was also not particularly "comedy" duffery.

Based on the numbers I wouldn't be surprised if Tim was First Boot. It's been ages since the first boot hasn't been the oldest contestant, and people always over-estimate the "lovable old man" vote (see : Johnny Ball). I'd say smart money has to still be a bit on Gregg though.
