i know on vodafone it works fine *#147# or something like that.

Sometimes your local cell doesn't allow this service, due to regular maintenance or bugs. It will come back eventually, or when you move out onto another cell area.

Another good thing to do is to a soft reboot of your phone (switch off and back on) or a hard reboot (take out battery without switching phone off, and take out the sim, re-insert sim, re-insert battery, and turn back on).

That only shows up calls when the phone has been switched on and in coverage.

I just tried the 1471 on my 02 pay and go and its working fine. The 02 signal was going up and down all day yesterday and early this morning when going to work but all seems ok now.

My network doesn't support this, but i get a text message if i have any missed calls when the phone has been off or out of signal!

Oh, and just realised you've bounced this thread from 6 years ago...
