Not sure I understand your answer. I wasn't commenting as to whether it was a "good idea" or not, I was simply putting out a reason as to why there are so many very blond dancers ( or black etc). It can be viewed as a requirement, to obtain a necessary look. Whether its a good idea of not, doesn't come into it. Its personal choice, no more no less.

If a dance professional advised me to dye my hair a chavvy colour - ie white blonde, very dark or brassy red I would just decline. I don't think it looks nice, in fact I think it tends to make the dancers look a bit cheap. It's not a look I think 'necessary' or desirable.

I daresay you would call my hair colour a "chavvy" colour, but if that is what is expected, you do it. I was told about it when attending England squad training sessions. Some girls/women don't necesarily like to wear their hair scraped back off their face in a severe style, but again, its necessary and you do it. It does comes down to choice, and I choose to colour my hair as does Kristina. If I look cheap - which I very much doubt it - I spend an awful lot of money to do so.

The point is it's a good idea if you want to be noticed on a dancefloor with tons of other couples who are all fighting for attention.

I absolutely hate having my hair scraped back into a bun but I did it for ballet and I do it now for latin and ballroom competitions. Sometimes you care more about something than your own personal style. I would never in a million years have worn fake tan (pale and interesting with auburn hair is my look ) but I always get a spray tan before a competition now. Sometimes it's nice to step outside yourself...

That's interesting, thankyou - I hadn't thought of it that way

I quite like Kristina, always have. When she joined and got partnered with John Sargeant she told him she was an excellent dancer and I remember thinking how big headed, but over the years i've thought the same about quite a few of the pro's. Natalie came over very big headed to me when she joined and i've thought the same about Brendan, Anton and Aliona aswell, but I now see it as confidence and I like most of the pro's very much.

Imo Kristina has a gorgeous face and doesn't look her age. She does have a tendency to fling her legs open during her routines or, like on Saturday, put her leg up high when wearing an extremely short dress, so god knows what gets seen but that's her

On hair, I often find myself with a mouthful of hair during AT. Besides dancing cheek-to-cheek my right eye is out of service and the left eye is peering through her tresses.

Would it be socially acceptable to carry a set of hair colour matched hair-clips in my left back-pocket and gently slip them into my follower's hair? My right back-pocket is for my glasses of course - can't wear glasses during a close embrace dance

And then ask for it back to be used at the next dance?

I don't think much of her ex-professional partner for talking about her like that to a newspaper, it's unkind - and very UNprofessional.

I'm not a man so I don't see Kristina in the same way as a man would but I think I can fairly judge what a sexy woman is like. Kristina is certainly sexy but not overly so, that would be embarrassing. All the female professionals are in their individual ways, Ola for example, but you couldn't imagine someone saying such things to a newspaper about her. There's nothing wrong with being sexy looking, warm and attractive, especially for a dancer.

There is something vulnerable about Kristina.

Might I suggest that either a hairnet or a shower-cap would solve the problem and possibly set a new trend to boot.

Quite so.

Hardly surprising. Michael Wentink looks like quite an androgynous rent boy. I suspect that Ben Cohen is more his type. Not the other way round of course.

And yes I have met a few hired by a friend.

And the BBC producers are loving all the publicity. They have probably engineered it.

I love Kristina, yes she's sexy which we all love. She's not married and can do what she wants as a single girl. I think the idea that she's some sort of siren calling men onto her shores is funny. I'm sure the producers are loving it. If some men are fools that's their problem. I would be more annoyed at a man who cheats on his wife and children than a single woman.

Just my type, reminds me a bit of Anne when she is blonde.
