I would say the likely option if she isn't just something brand new is that she is indeed the Master. If that was the case it would be a classic bit of hiding the solution in plain sight. As Minky said there is an obvious connection between the two titles plus it would be typical of Moffat to subvert the debate about a female Doctor by saying 'Not having that but what about this?'.
I wouldn't mind. Though would rather see Simm back.
