Yes just go into a three store and ask then they can transfer your number over the the new sim.
Whether or not they will charge you I couldn't say.

I've done this a couple of times and they didn't charge me. Well they took 50p from my debit card and gave it back to me out of the till to prove my identity and that was it.

It takes 2 mins and is free.

I did it myself last week. The new sim was active within a few minutes.

A Three store charged me £5.11 to swap my micro sim to nano sim over a week ago. You give them your account details, they basically give you a new replacement sim scan the barcode on it and the new sim is ready to go using your existing phone number. Nothing changes apart from the sim.

If you haven't already done it, basically they will do it there and then, whether or not they charge is up to the store really, when I did mine they said normally its £5 but this time they'd do it free of charge. Then the number is ported over normally within 2-3 hours or so

I got their customer services team to send me one. It was sent free and arrived the very next day which isn't bad considering I ordered a new SIM at 4:30pm.

I trimmed my micro sim down to a nano. I used sharp scissors and a nail file. Works just fine 😉

Yes.

Bought an iPhone 6 last week, went to the 3 store nearby and they gave me a new sim for it at no charge. The sim in my 4s died an hour or so later.

Easy!

Nano is thinner too, so they probably won't do that for you, but you could try yourself.

I had a similar experience, just went to a three store, and they gave me a new sim again at no charge there was a little waiting around while they checked my ID/that i was who I said I was and that was it, quick easy and painless plus I got a free sim adaptor as well so that the new smaller sim will fit in a standard sim slot.
The Old sim card died in under 10 minutes.

Called in to a Three store on Saturday and was told i could not swap my micro SIM to a nano SIM unless i accepted a contract change to a 12 month one as my current contract had run out and was now very much out of date. I found this a bit hard to believe given i'm on a monthly SIM only plan which Three are still selling.

Went in to a different Three store on Sunday and was told it was £5.11 for a SIM swap but after he looked at my account and saw i was having trouble at home with the signal due to the lay of the land he waved the charge.

Three will tell you anything in order to retain business.

They tried to get you to sign up for a new contract. You must have a very good SIM only tariff

that takes the micky charging for a new sim, unless you are asking for a new sim every week.

I have been with o2 for years and changed sim sizes twice, and both times I just requested the replacement sim either instore or online then when ready typed the codes from the sims and my number swamped over to the new sim

I once called up 333 to ask about getting a nano sim for my new phone, I was told I could either get one sent out to me or I could go into a Three store and get one but they would charge me £5.11 so he would refund £5.11 onto my next bill for me.

I chose to go into the store, the advisor put £5.11 credit on my bill. I went into a Three store the next day to ask for a sim replacement and they did it free of charge, so I got £5.11 off my bill for no reason.

It's worth a shot giving them a phone call before you get a sim replacement, even if the store charges you, it will still be free.

Same here, but I used side cutters and emery paper (to make it thinner). I have a set of adapters to change nano back to the other sizes too - so I can use any phone with my cut down SIM.

I went into a Three shop and they gave me a nano SIM for no cost.

They also gave me a nano to micro adaptor so I could use the new nano sim in my old phone until I had bought my new iPhone 6S. Again this was at no cost.

The new SIM was active about 10 minutes after I left the shop.

I briefly considered cutting the micro sim down myself but there's not much margin for error so I decided against this.

Personally I wouldn't recommend cutting a SIM card down to size. Although it will work, the edges of the card would have been compromised. Under some circumstances such as the phone getting hot it could cause the SIM card to warp and start de-laminating leading to sporadic SIM card failures.
