Reminds me of Ricky Whittle ?
Good dancer but cant warm to his personality.

Think he is really talented, that jive was good for week 1. Hopefully ,he will relax into it a bit but yes he does seem a bit bigheaded. be interesting to see what he is like on ITT. Could maybe have done with a different partner, love Kristina but she is ambitious and together they could just be too desperate to win?

Let's give him a chance. Sometimes in the first show nerves mean people don't do themselves justice and they can warm up and surprise you as the show goes on.

I loved Ricky Whittle on SCD and thought both Ricky and Natalie got undeserved criticism on here. The only thing that annoyed me about Ricky was that he was working whilst doing SCD. It's a pet hate of mine when contestants start whining about how their day job is having an impact on their performance.

As for Simon, I can remember liking him on IAC and as yet I've seen nothing to change that opinion. He didn't strike me as a bad person and compared to some of the people who were in the jungle with him he was a bliddy saint.

I think if you like someone you just do. I couldn't take to Natalie, Denise, or (forum favourite) Kara, and yet they were probably some of the best dancers ever to grace the SCD dance floor. Simon seems to be the person singled out this year to be the "can't take to his personality" contestant. It probably doesn't help that he's partnered with Kristina who is always singled out for unfair criticism. I happen to quite like both of them so I'm hoping they'll go far and if he's half as good as Ricky then we're in for a treat.

Being declared a bankrupt last year and a member of a has - been boy band ought to have knocked that big head down a peg or two - you would have thought so anyway. I think Ricky Whittle had a nicer personality personally.

Neither can I but maybe as he gets more confident he'll change.

I always liked Ricky I didn't get the line here. Women on here tend to prefer men who aren't very good-looking - Kevin, Chris Hollins, Darren wotsit etc...

I'd take Aljaz any day over any of them.

Kristina is totally the wrong partner for him, too short.

I wasn't that keen on Ricky - nothing to do with his personality but more his slightly bandy legs. Just couldn't get over them no matter how great his top line was! Early days with Simon but that jive was my top dance of the week and I thought he and Kristina had great chemistry so I'm ready to be converted to supporting an unpopular, smug ringah!!

Simon has a bit of swagger about him when performing but I think he came across well on ITT. He said that he felt a bit unconfident about his performance after he did it and he said as much in the Claud-ervatory, but that he felt better when he watched it back, nothing wrong with that IMO but I suppose some might think he was being cocky.

Sometimes confidence can be confused with being big headed,,,,,so far though I think Simon is just confident, which I like, especially when dancing. I didn't like Ricky but I already knew of him previously and didn't like him so the show didn't really have anything to do with that.

I actually find Thom slightly arrogant but that may just be me. I don't find him at all attractive so when Iveta said he could be the best looking man in the world i was like "really??"

I have to say I warmed to Simon after ITT last night.... and I really enjoyed their jive at the weekend. I am looking forward to seeing more of them

I don't watch ITT so all I have to go on is the show itself. I'm not overly keen on Simon.

I liked Ricky though. He and Natalie were fab.

I liked Ricky, I think Simon could be even better... with another professional. Kristina and him are a too similar. If he had a pro that was a bit more relaxed (or give the impression of being so) would be more likeable.

I like Simon more than I thought I would though. And liked Thom much less than I thought I would, too Thombot.

On ITT last nght he came across as another droning Donovator...over-analysing every step.

Funny because the bit of the interview that stood out for me was his laugh when he did his "Tango" face, and all three of them laughing about Antony Costa cheering him on.

I must confess that Blue are my guilty pleasure so maybe I missed the "over-analysing" of every step and heard a young man who took the judges comments too seriously because they had picked up on what Kristina had been drumming into him since day one - technique. Unlike the rest of us he doesn't dismiss what they say and move on to the next dancer, he seems to genuinely want to learn.

Do you know, I can't honestly remember Ricky Whittle. I shall google him after this post.

Simon Webbe is gorgeous. I don't say that lightly but he has always impressed me, not only how he looks but something gentlemanly about him. I could be wrong of course.

Now I will scuttle off to look up Ricky.
Edit: Done it! Yes, I remember him now but not much about him. Simon is not like him at all, imo.
