I'm quite looking forward to seeing Simon and Kristina's tango to Sing - I think it's a great song, nice and staccato.
I always find myself tapping along to Mambo No 5, too, so I'm predisposed to enjoy Jake and Janette's effort.
The one I'm most horrified by is Frankie and Kevin's "Happy Days" charleston. But they're a strong partnership, so I guess if anyone else can stay afloat in all that cheese, they can.

LOL at Stop as a tango (I had it as a QS, see the music prediction thread). That will be interesting to see, a skippy tango.

A Tango to STOP
Steve and Thom song choices are by far my favorites ; Couldnt be more perfect and appropriate.

Please Thom do Justice to Mark and Karen's song !!!

WHY are 2 couples doing the Charleston this early in the competition

Sing and Stop both stood out as appalling choices for Tango; I wasn't familiar with Blame but having just heard it I reckon it could work. The only other questionable choice I see is the Happy Days theme.

If Stop! was the preferred option what were the other songs on the list??? Are we sure it's a Tango and not something else? Are the songs purely being given so the judges can make a 'hilarious pun' out of it during the critique rather than setting them based on what suits the dance? It's bizarre.

Reading it I first saw Gregg had the Charleston I thought that is him gone but then I scrolled down some more and saw what Scott was dancing too.

Happy Days would be great musically and thematically for a jive but, no, they had to go and use it for a Charleston. I think they are going for the 'Awww, aren't they adorable' thing with both the Clifton pairings.

Stop for a Tango is just... what?

Jennifer's Waltz song is surprisingly underused. Have we ever seen a Tristan Waltz? Something tells me this could be surprisingly good.

About 50:50 between good music and wtaf music there.

Sunetra's could be brilliant.

I suspect Kevin and Frankie might look more like they are Lindy-hopping than Charleston-ing.

I think we might see the best Salsa ever this week - if Jake's face joins the party.

Is their song really a salsa rhythm? I'm a bit concerned.

I've only been to a couple of Salsa classes, but I'm pretty sure they played it at one of them.

Jake looks good and Janette is a Salsa specialist - its gotta be good.

Found this, guess it will be OK if they don't go too fast (or the band speed the song up)

Jake just needs to dance like Carlton from the neck up.

Ian thought it was a paso last night I think Jennifer is to dancing what Mrs Winkle is to presenting... Imo the music choices are awful again this week...

How ridiculous, Sing for a tango? What are the producers thinking!?

Sing is a cha cha song in my opinion.

I thought a lot of the tango's were paso like last week. It would be strange to see a Paso- Waltz!
