I found him really lovely last Saturday . And his chacha is one of the dances I re-watch the most since last week . He has a great partnership with Karen . He seems eager to learn and hardworking...they are, dare I say, one of my favorite couples this season and I didn't expect to say that prior to the show.

I am still voting for him this week As I am Michelle Kegan's biggest fan

I thought he was pretty good actually. He doesn't come across well in the media in general (magazines, etc.), but he did seem like an okay guy on Strictly. Fair play to him - he did well.

Well Ian just said he thought he was underscored., so did I.

He came across much less arrogant than I thought he would on ITT.

I don't think he's going to be in the bottom 2 . He really came across well on Saturday and he gave a decent/solid performance for week 1 imo

I agreed with Ian on ITT - his face had a happy smile all the way through the cha-cha, just as he should have. I thought Karen put a lot of content in for him to do which was a heck of a lot more than Joanne gave Scott, and he did a good job for a first dance.

I'd never heard of, or seen, Mark Wright before last Saturday, so had no pre-conceived ideas of what he was like. I thought his dance was ok; not wonderful but certainly a lot better than some of the others, and he looked as if he was enjoying himself. From his appearance on ITT tonight, he seems like a hard worker, so good luck to him in the weeks to come.

BTW - who is Michelle Keegan, mentioned in more than one post above?

She's his girlfriend - ex Coronation Street actress, and a very pretty girl.

When you take him out of Towie he seems to be quite a nice person

His fiancée - she's an actress. Played Tina in Coronation Street for years, but has left now because her character has been killed off.

You'll become familiar with her soon......whenever she attends to watch Mark the camera will be panning to her at any given opportunity like it did last Saturday and on the launch show...

Thanks to all who answered my question about Michelle Keegan. I don't watch Soaps so never recognise any of "soapy" actors.

Seems is the operative word . Anyone who has watched Towie, which I did the first series, could see what a lying, two-timing, cheating, nasty piece of work, he is .

Oh yes he can appear oh so sweet, as if butter wouldn't melt, but I pity ant girl who gets tangled up with him .

Still I'm going to judge him on his dancing in SCD and he did ok for the first week .

Towie is scripted isn't it? Like Made in Chelsea. It's not real.

It's scripted...I'd say most of 'story lines' are put together so they can get tabloid interest in the show....he did though apparently have an actual relationship with another TOWIE cast member Lauren Goodger....she bleats on and on in the media about how poorly she was treated by him......he's no better though as he also uses the media to have a go at her....they also get into slanging matches on twitter.

They are not actors like the soaps . The relationships are real .

Some of the 'relationships' are about as 'real' as the ones Katie Price has these days....it's all so they can get the column inches in the gossip rags.

That's why I said some....I acknowledged that Mark had an actual relationship with Lauren...as I understand they were together before TOWIE.

They are not actors in that they aren't trained, so they are, for the most part, bad actors but I assure you the situations they act out are scripted for the cameras. Once a series is over some of the supposed couples barely meet until the next one, unless its a paid for holiday with photoshoot. One well known 'character' in MIC did a whole other reality series with a different 'girlfriend' on a break from filming MIC before going back to the next series and no one mentioned it!
