I have no idea what my pals were using. I usually use 5 ghz but then again I have a 2.4 network too and the phone just swaps between them

Can be flaky on 5Ghz if not welded to the router or have walls like paper. This is the case in general not just EE's implementation.

On an EE note lucan. Mearns cross shopping centre in newton mearns STIILL has the Orange mast broadcasting 2g and the T-Mobile one 2g and 3g with extremely poor upload. Like 0.01 meg. Vodafone have every single mast in the whole area upgraded.

Has anybody had problems with WiFi calling since the iOS 9.3 update? WiFi calling is turned on on my iPhone but WiFi calling is not appearing on my home screen. I can't make calls when WiFi is turned on either.

No, it came straight back on after the update. Have you tried rebooting? Or resetting network settings?

I did a reboot and turned wifi off and on and wifi calling off and on again. Nothing happens when I dial the number. It just says calling and there's just silence. I have to turn wifi off in order for the call to connect.

My iPhone just made me sign into my Apple ID for no apparent reason, it also wanted to send a text message to enable iMessage. A bit random, I assume there's some apple server issues at the moment. Also BT seems to be having issues, they currently are unable to show me my mobile usage info or current billing info on their website or app.

Just got a Moto G (3rd gen) to play with. It's a Vodafone one (best deal) but was able to get an unlock code from eBay for 2 quid.

I don't fancy wading through 100 pages...
I know it's not officially possible on non-EE phones but has anyone found a way to "hack on" support for Wifi Calling?

Maybe you can find an EE rom and try installing that? I can't guarantee that will work though - when I tried installing an EE rom on my unlocked samsung galaxy alpha it failed and I had to put the original unlocked rom back on it. Also make sure you do your research cause it can be risky, I'm not responsible for anything. Hope you can get it working

Oh well. I suppose VoLTE will be out of the question when it's available as well iPhone master race...

EE don't sell Motorola phones so flashing a branded firmware ain't happening!

As far as we're aware it's only available (publically) in Hatfield and Bristol

ok thanks. I read on here that it was available everywhere once iOS 9.3 was released. I guess that's not the case.

That was just Devon speculating I think! It's technically available everywhere, but only for staff / other people on the trial

It won't work as EE don't offer WifiCalling on the Moto G so you can try any firmware you like without success, same goes for the Galaxy Alpha, that's why it failed.

You would need to have a handset that EE actually support WifiCalling on, not any old handset you try and install an EE firmware on.

It won't work, there are no workarounds, if you want WifiCalling you need to buy a phone that EE actually offer WifiCalling on, the Moto G is not one of them.

Choose one here:
