Macaroni Cheese with Leeks , from M&S . Stopped off at M&S last night to get a ready meal . Probably the best ready meal I have ever tasted it was delicious , cheesy & filling , the leeks add something to a basic mac & cheese dish .

Yum!

I'm currently addicted to their cauliflower cheese, made with Wexford cheddar.
Utterly delicious.
Will definitely try the mac and cheese with leak. Sounds mouth watering.

Is this stuff so very hard to make for yourself?

Had this as part of the veggie option on the Dine in for £10. I was massively underwhelmed. But then I think M&S come up lacking in all the veggie options they provide as part of this deal.

Tesco finest mac and cheese is nicer but way to high in fat and calories.

There's always someone that has to say it!
Your comment is arrogant.

More pertinent than arrogant. But I guess people like to be just left alone.

No, your comment is arrogant and condescending.
You are looking down on people that don't make absolutely everything from scratch.

And there's always a comment like yours when people mention making a dish.
It's almost a taboo subject on a Food and Drink forum.

To be fair it is a thread about a M&S ready meal. I'd presume the OP wanted to discuss that and not how to make it.

I cook nearly everything from scratch. It's nice now and then not to have to.
Anyway Op, sorry for crashing your thread.

I understand that degsy, but all threads evolve.
It's the constant "warfare" that erupts when cooking from scratch is mentioned that I find weird on a "Food" forum.

I'm sure that applies to many posters on here

Left alone to do more interesting and exciting things than cooking...

The phrase is annoying for a start.

This will sound biased considering my country of origin, but leeks really are wonderfully tasty.
They are delicious in any kind of savoury bake, stews, cawl, with pasta in a sauce, soup (leek&potato obviously being an established favourite).

I go through loads of them.

I've not tried the M&S macaroni one, but it's bound to be nice.
Does M&S ever fail to come up trumps? Not often.

It's a Food and Drink forum and you find cooking uninteresting and unexciting.

Check the Rick Stein recipe for leek cannelloni - watched it on TV about a week ago - and also Jamie Oliver's turkey, ham and leek pie.
The pie is perfect for Christmas turkey and ham leftovers and it really is delicious.

Not looking down, just commenting.
Sorry you feel so insecure.

So being able and willing to use a saucepan is a sign of snobbery?
You couldn't make it up.

You don't have to make it up.

You just put it it in the microwave for a few minutes!
