Do Recorded Programmes Get Automatically Deleted Off Sky Plus Boxes?........

I was recording the TV series of Boomers and at least 2 of the episodes have dissapeared without me watching them and even though I pressed the blue button to keep the series stored like.

Do programmes gert deleted off Sky Plus automatically in general after some time or is this a BBC thing where they somehow delete things that make them get deleted no matter what format they are stored onto?

They shouldn't if set to keep but sometimes the codes applied to the programme by the box can get mixed up. Like when the prog description is from another prog.

Downloaded programmes on Sky+ tend to have a "delete on" date and time. Recorded off TV do not - I have some which are over 6 years old.

However if you do not turn off "auto delete" and the Sky+ is nearly full it can get rid of old programmes to make space.

My harddrive on the box is nearly up on its available recording speace but I haven't noticed an auto delete option. I'll have a look for it now but ust in case I don't find it, can you tell me where it is? Mine is a HD Plus box if that makes a diffeence.
