I have just had a update of my Youview box at 22.50 on 01/10/14

Component software: 2.5.6
Platform configuration: 1017
ISP configuration: 90

What is it for or has my box just refreshed old software ?

Is ready for new epg services now that freeview has cleared space to give another 100 spaces for paid internet TV services ?
old epg 400 to 599 now 300 to 599....

My Youview boxes retail and BT Youview still has internet channels in the 400 to 599. My retail box did get a software update yesterday.

My BTYV box is still on software 18.10.0 dated 15th Aug. even though it says 'last checked 5th Oct'. I tried a manual update as well and it still says software is up to date.

BT has released that we would over time get this update on they site from 24th.
BT has released today that Netflix will be coming to customers boxes at a price of £5.99 though BT billing ....

2nd / 6th Oct there are talk of changes to number TV channels / services ??

I too got this update on 31 Oct. No 30 day BBC I-player though
