BT mail - missing inbox messages.
I regularly check my BT internet mail box in work and have no problems with it (Internet explorer). I had some 10 unread emails in my inbox last one timed at 17:34 today (1st October). I went home to access my emails and I only had 1 unread item and was short some nine emails in my inbox. The last email was dated 29th September. Tried three different computers at home, using Firefox, Explorer and Chrome and each one would not refresh beyond the 29th September.
Any ideas? Tried using BT live help chat but had no joy reaching someone. I hope someone can help as I am missing key emails that I cannot access from home. |

I can't help you to solve it, I'm afraid, but I can say that I am also experiencing problems with BT Mail this morning. On my laptop, the message says something about my mail account being unavailable, and on my iPad the message is that my password is incorrect, so I also have no way of knowing whether I have any emails.

I'm sure you know there is now a new BT email service. The new BT email has a new separate server and they are having problems migrating all the accounts and engineers are currently working on it. I coudn't access it yesterday morning - it came back o in the afternoon, and this morning it is down again.
http://www.bt.com/consumerFaultTrack...ing.do?page=31 or 080016900199 for status update. ETA - that link isn't working for me - it's the one they sent to my mobile. Anyway, it should be back in a few hours. |

It's total crap. You'd have thought they would have made sure the server was fit for the job before the change. I am really inconvenienced by this. Bad show BT! I'm going to ask for compensation.

Mine is working now, too, but none of my emails for today have shown up. There should be at least 3 that I am expecting , one of which is quite important.

it's not working yet where i am for some reason there are only 4 emails in my account all the rest have disappeared....it keeps timing the session out then not letting me log in it wont accept the password to link to the new bollox MyBT which doesn't work.
possibly the worst internet ever. if anyone from BT reads this why is your service so terrible and not fit for purpose? |

Why not post your gripes on the BT Community forums? At least you'll get somewhere there rather than here, I'd imagine.
won't make that mistake again i didn't realise you ran the boards. |

well since i posted that last night i've obviously complained to BT but i was posting on this thread about exactly the things this thread was complaining about sorry did i need special membership?
won't make that mistake again i didn't realise you ran the boards. I have had a lot of trouble since last Christmas with my line and it is on that forum I got the most help as they were able to put in contact with people who could do something about my problems - and they were solved, eventually. |

Sorry if you've misinterpreted my comments. They were meant to be of some help.

I honestly can't believe they went live with this new service when it obviously wasn't tested properly......glad to hear your issues were solved eventually a friend of mine on Dartmoor had months where their signal dropped so low she used to have to drive her kids into exeter so they could download their homework!!! terrible service. sorry again for being snappy

Update - still experiencing same problems.... messages sent from a different PC, not in "sent items" folder of laptop.... same with tablet/iphone etc.... Can seemingly on view it on the items I actually sent it on. Same with inbox items, items viewed in inbox of one computer not showing (not even as a read message) in another.
Went on the BT community and they say its probably something to do with settings... and I am probably on the POP3 setting and not IMAP. However, this issue with BT webmail.... going to my email via bt.com and signing in (not via an outlook etc).... apparently bt webmail is defaulted as IMAP setting, so it shouldn't be this problem. |
