Both TV & PVR now have EPG information, but that doesn't indicate the actual time of the transmission starting.

It should start at around 11:10am according to https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...27308&refid=17

It says 8.00am (The New Adventures of Wonder Woman) on my EPG.

Not claiming it's right though

for some reason there's another thread on this channel.

Someone says it starts at 11.10am today.

It might make sense to merge the two threads or keep posts on the newer thread - this one started as a speculative thread last October.

At the start of Stephen King's brilliant "The Langoliers".

I already alerted the mods to merge the various threads but they haven't got round to it yet.

They started off with a movie called The Langoiiers.

So did I when the second one first started, but no action taken.

It is getting a bit annoying now and I'm only making it worse by posting on this thread!

Does anyone have a figures for the not rate of this channel on Freeview DVB-T? The Freesat stream is abominably bad.

My receiver displayed that it ws part of a series which prompted me to do a search to see what it was a series of, but that's not of use for most people as most receivers don't display details like that.

Both part 1 and part 2 are repeated. 12:00 Sunday 15/03.

Its the same bit rate as on satellite, 544x576. The only difference is the audio which is 128kbps on satellite and 112kbps on Freeview.

Old TV programs like Doctor who will be ok at 544*576 as its likely that it was made with cameras that could only manage about 500*576 anyway even though it was all analogue at that time! Also being a 4:3 program it will look better at that low res than a 16:9 program.

I wonder what it is like on Virgin?

That's the resolution rather than the bitrate.

DigitalBirate.com is showing the Horror Channel as:
Freeview: 1.6Mb/s
Satellite: 1.4Mb/s

However the satellite bitrate is an average over 40 days whereas Freeview is just a single day so far.

Freeview seems to be better then Satellite feed looking at that.

This is supposed to be a horror themed channel after all.”

Why do you always winge about Doctor Who being on Horror? It's on during the day, there's plenty of Horror films shown at night. Your not forced to watch Doctor Who.

It may be my imagination, but I think the number of horror films on the rest of the Freeview channels has increased since the Horror Channel started.

I can't notice any discernible difference between either of them when viewing. The same with the other CBS channels.
