Err..

Do you really think it was her choice to include them?

There's basically 3 notable things about Ju-Mu.

1) Tennis
2) Scottish
3) Womb housed a famous dude

We've had Scottish [oh lordy, did we ever have Scottish] and Strictly's family viewing so 3 is out for now. If she doesn't get the boot then things could get...educational.

More like

1) Womb housed a famous Dude - who is a tennis player - and Scottish

If there was no Dude we would never have heard of her. There is no record of her playing tennis to a Top 1000 level. She wasn't even known as a notable Scot before Dude came along

I still like her! And frankly raising that 'Dude' was rather probably rather harder work and as worthy of a place in Strictly as anything any of the other zelebs have done.

I agree. She's doing well I think. Her public image is that of pushy mum with a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp. But I love her. This will give her the opportunity to change peoples perception of her.

Where did you get this ? I haven't seen any .

She seems like a limp doll in the training . I hope she hasn't given up mentally .

She doesn't get to choose the themes, the producers do. I agree it's cringey but that's not Judy's fault.

She's not the best dancer in the world but she is coming across as a really lovely lady who is enjoying the experience and I wish her all the best.

Yes, I mentioned that earlier.

Some fail to realise, that this programme is on BBC1. Which, given the level at which some programmes are pitched, could be described as "TV for dummies."

Many of the new elements in SCD are for the benefit of former X-Factor fans, who wouldn't know "Judy from Ruby."

BBC1 is also home to the cringeworthy "Our Girl" and the passable "Our Zoo" which really should have been shown at 7.00pm on a Sunday, given that it seems more for "our younger viewers."

The career based choreography is a bad sign and could usher Judy out, as it did Tony Jacklin, Deborah Meaden, etc. Maybe the choreographers don't have confidence in the celeb to perform a role and dance well enough to collect votes (without their identifying gimmick).

Perhaps you should ask the Producers I am sure it was not her idea.

I don't think she made a 'twit' of herself at all. She was doing quite well until she lost her way and hasn't the experience to be able to recover easily.
She can't be blamed for either the heavy handed Scottish or tennis themes that is down to the producers who think we need constant reminders.
Judy is a lady who is way out of her comfort zone but is giving something new a go and looks like she is enjoying herself - the same can be said for Jennifer, Gregg and Tim etc. Good on them for having the courage to take the challenge on at all let alone in front of 6 million hyper critical people.

It's no different than any of the other props....hospital props because an actress is in a hospital-based drama? At least Judy has a real-life connection to her props!

Exactly. Are people watching this show and STILL not grasping that the producers force these dreadful themes on them, even after the many times the pros have alluded to being unhappy about the ridiculous things they've had to wedge into a routine?

Sunetra's hospital theme last week was dreadful, as was Tim's auction stuff (and his uncomfortableness with that was painfully apparent). Why would you think that Judy insisted on a career-related theme? Did she demand the Scottish theme last week (there WAS a Scottish theme to her last dance, but I fear a lot of viewers might have missed it as it was very subtle).

I don't agree. Others have used props related to their job. Tim started off this year 'auctioning' before he even got to start the dance. She has a reputation of being the worst kind of tennis mum and is trying to show the human side of herself. In interviews, outside of tennis, she comes a cross as a genuinely warm lady

Does she? She's the most high profile "tennis mum" in the UK, but that's because she has two tennis playing offspring and the rest of the GB players are cr*p.

There are some far worse parents out there. Tennis dads appear to be the problem.

Jelena Dokic's dad has also served time for threatening the Australian ambassodor to Serbia with a hand grenade!

Have you ever stopped to consider why Andy is a Grand Slam and Olympic champion whilst every other British tennis player in the last 40 years has struggled to achieve mediocrity? Perhaps it's something to do with the coaching Judy provided and the way she oversaw the development of the crucial early stage of his career.

I think you will find that they were actually raised by their Dad as Judy was off coaching round the world... hence the eventual marriage breakdown- and I am not apportioning blame just saying.

I actually quite like her on SCD and if the tennis racquets give her any sort of comfort when she is out of her comfort zone then who cares?!

Mr Murray does seem to have been airbrushed from history somewhat, but I'm still sure it was Mrs Murray who was the driving force behind the junior Murrays' tennis careers.

Anyway, I'm sure her dance on Saturday will be "interesting". Sooner her than me...

we know why most of the celebs are in the show - if we dont know we can find out - thats why google was invented - the producers really dont need to remind us by making the dancers incorporate stupid props that waste time and make the dances look cheesy

i know next to nothing about tennis and even less about judy - but she seems to be a nice woman who is enjoying her experience and giving her best - she may not be the best dancer but that is not stopping her from giving it her best shot - good on her for stepping out of her comfort zone, i dont think she is making a twit out herself at all

Just can't take to her I'm afraid. She's probably a lovely person, but tennis mums (and dads) really irritate me. You rarely seem to get them in other sports, not when their offspring are grown-up professionals anyway. I blame Jimmy Connors, that appears to be when it all started.

They don't come up with the theme/prop ideas, the Producers do. She and Anton just have to go with it (as do all the Pros).
