I have a 6 month old" Blaupunkt" 36in Flat Screen TV and Pace Box on a Satallite Dish, Because of iffy reception in this area. My problem is either the TV or Pace Box is tuned into London and not East Anglia. I can get BBC East news if I search for it but the Default setting is London, I obviously want my local weather and news(ANGLIA). and I can't get Anglia ITV at all only London ITV.
Question, Can I get TV reset to my Local area, or is it the Pace Box that needs resetting/renewing. HELP.

Is there an aerial plugged into the TV and if so are you using the built in Freeview tuner of the TV? If there is no aerial and you are not using the built in tuner on the TV then it is nothing to do with the telly.

The satellite receiver should be able to get every regional variant of BBC and ITV. Because the satellite broadcasts to the entire UK it has to carry every single regional variant as separate channels. Usually when you set up the receiver there is an option to choose which variant it uses as the "main" BBC and ITV on channel numbers 101 and 103. But you should be able to find any other variant you want by doing a manual search provided you know where to look.

However if you are using Freeview then which regional variant you get is dependent on what transmitter the aerial is pointing to. The only way to change which variant you get is to point the aerial (and maybe even change the aerial altogether) at a different transmitter that does carry the regional variant you want. Always assuming that such a transmitter is receivable where you live.

Try doing a reset on the satellite receiver and see if you get an option to select the region for BBC/ITV.

If you're watching satellite then it's your box, not your TV - what type of box is it? - if it's an old Sky box then you need a card to tell it what region to display, with no card you get London BBC and West Midlands ITV.

Do you mean the free channels on satellite or the digital terrestrial service known as Freeview? They are not the same thing so helps to be clear on this as the solution to the problem is very different in each instance.

Assuming you do mean the free satellite channels one option is to buy a viewing card from Sky for 25 quid, see

Use the Sky box add channels to add ITV1 Anglia (10758 V 22000 5/6). Once added you will find it under other channels.

Thanks everyone for interest and replies. I should have said I am 77 and need info' in words of one syllable. I am as far as I know using Freeview card in Sky Box nothing to do with Sky Company. If I need another card where and how do I obtain it?. The cost will mean I have to stay away from Pub another night. . I have a friend who will do any adjustments to system if any necessary.

Freeview is the free UK TV service you get through an aerial. There isn't a Freeview card. If you have a card in your Sky box it must be a Sky card. If you once had a subscription and stopped the payments your viewing card should have reverted to a Freesat from Sky card and should have given you the same regional channels as when you had a subscription.

I don't have a Sky box connected but hopefully someone with one will post step by step instructions as to how to use add channels to get the Anglia ITV version you want.
