Tomorrow, I shall be making one of my beef curries that the family go mad for.

My son (adult) has expressed a desire for me to also make or purchase a dessert to follow.

Any suggestions?

I can't think of anything that could be eaten dessert wise after a curry.

Anything really!

I literally have no ideas or preferences.

I imagine we will be pretty full after the curry so imagine something light would be preferred.

My son is a gannet when it comes to food, but works out every day so burns it all off!

I'd go for that or something palate cooling rather than anything heavy.
My curry books are under wraps as I'm re-papering the kitchen
I never order a third course in an Indian restaurant though - I couldn't.

I would say something milky, creamy and cooling with a tropical fruit vibe.

A pannacotta with passion fruit? A mango sorbet?

Or what about deep fried bounty bars with pineapple wedges a la Nigella ?

I'd go for coconut ice cream or mango sorbet.

As others have said, something refreshing is good. I recently did a chocolate lime pie with a homemade coconut and chilli ice cream. It went down a treat.

Gulab jamun. An incredibly delicious indian dessert. I believe it can be purchased in the world food aisles in Asda, Tesco etc.

It just has to be: EGG MAN

Never had one, but seen it in plenty of Indian restaurants on the desert menu so it must be an authentic Indian desert.

Seriously though maybe something like a sorbet?

I have seen them in Sainsburys. I prefer to make my own.

Pistachio ice cream. Gulab Jamun is a bit sweet and sickly, nice though.
