Assuming you have an active sub.....

Connects via single phono cable to the input labeled SUB which is in the block called Outputs.

Might be easier to answer if you told us what speakers you are using. Of particular importance is what sub you are using. The Arcam can only use an active sub.

If you look at page 6 of the manual

http://www.arcam.co.uk/ugc/tor/diva-...00e_manual.pdf

there is a block of 8 phono sockets top left labelled OUTPUTS. the active sub plugs into the bottom right socket of that block.

Thanks for your help, I'm looking to purchase a LUXMAN GIGASB7 Sub it says it has and Impedance of 4 Ohms will this be ok to use on the arcam ?

Never heard of this device and there is very little info on it, in English anyway, on t'interweb.

The one English site I found does quote an impedance of 4ohms for some reason. No idea why as the sub is active so the impedance of the actual drive unit inside the box is irrelevant (to anyone other than the manufacturers anyway ).

Not sure I would be pairing a decent make like Arcam with a very much low end speaker like this. I would be looking at something better from the likes of Tannoy. Yamaha and similar well known brands. OK they are likely to be more expensive but will be a much better match for the Arcam.

And of course you have to factor in matching the sub to the other speakers in the set-up. Though I'm sort of wondering why you don't have a sub already? Normally when you buy a set of surround speakers you get a sub as part of the package. So what other speakers have you got?

If you can afford it I would get a decent set of matched surround speakers to go with it. Then you stand a fighting chance of letting the Arcam show you what it is capable of

At the budget end of the market the Yamaha NSP40s are worth a listen

Not bad for under 120 quid.

For a bit more there is the Tannoy SFX5.1 system

Depends on how deep your wallet is
