1) Judy's cha-cha had me hiding behind a cushion with embarrassment for her
2) Jake reminds me a bit of Ramps - awkward when required to be himself, but comes alive when he dances.
3) Kristina looked beautiful in that dark blue & black dress.
4) Tim's wife likes bright colours just as much as he does
5) Simon has a 17-yr-old daughter

And a cheeky (6)...in my dreams, I dance that waltz with Tris

1) Scott is a lot.. paunchier than I imagined him to me. I like him, if only because he's now inspired a desire in Sara Cox to do a full series.

2) Jake was properly, seriously amazing. My favourite Strictly Salsa ever, I think?

3) Alison & Aljaz are just a joy.

4) Darcey is really rather lovely, isn't she? I find her the most encouraging.

5) Jennifer being all weepy made me sad. I hate to see triers come away feeling unrewarded. Tristan is a darling, though.

1. Message from costume department - 'Mark has a big bum.'

2. Some singer murdered one of the Tango songs - the duet one.

3. Anton - 'We trained for hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hou......

4. Brilliant choreography from Aljaz

5. JAKEY JAKE JAKE AND JANETTE

1 costumes iffy tonight and Mark's was the worst.
2 too long with 15 couples
3 Gregg Wallace gives me the creeps
4 Alison Hammond is a fab dancer but big girls look awful in ballroom
5 Jake blew me away (again).

1. Too many gimmicks and props. I fear the pros are increasingly being made to make a dance out of a producer's idea of "entertainment".
2. Jake was wow, and Pixie did not deserve the same marks as him.
3. Steve was treated far too harshly, especially by Craig. I like him and he seems to be going for it.
4. I too am liking Mark more than I had thought I would, but he looked as though he was meant to be partnering someone else tonight - jumper and casual trousers for an AS??
5. I enjoyed Frankie's dance as it was full of fun, but it was a bit of a mess in terms of content.

1. The wardrobe department have gone to hell on the show, with the exception of one
or two the outfits were shocking.
2. Hope Judy gets through just so her son Andy doesnt give her a hard time
3. Gregg needs to go home - he is making a fool of himself by putting his face in a cake
after every dance to distract from his performance.
4. Love Tim, Sunetra (think she is a slow burner), Caroline and Jake.
5. I had forgotten how long the first few shows are, still love it though!

1: Trent looked like he stepped out of a stage show of Cabaret and forgot he wasnt still a Brownshirt
2: Marks trousers made no sense at all
3: Jake made me go Whoop whoop
4; I just love Iveta , so full of joy and fun
5: Claudia is FAB U LOUS

I said further up the thread that Tess is just not a good anchor and Strictly desperately needs one. It was a chaotic show tonight. I hadn't thought of Graham Norton but, thinking about it, he might just work

1. Like most have already said, the costumes, the music...awful. I couldn't even watch Mark dance, what was he wearing? Stretch jeans/jogging pants? People were accused of having bad timing when it was obviously the awful music they were given.

2. Jake was shockingly good...and then Judy came out and just stood around. What a weird show : )

3. The judges coming out at the top of the show and dancing around made me a bit sick.

4. I don't miss Bruce, but I'm not sure Tess is working all that well either. Maybe she just needs time.

5. Kristina and Natalie looked beautiful tonight. They must dress themselves : )

1 - Sorry but I thought Jake's salsa-ing was comedy overdancing. The routine was flashy and the tricks and lifts were great but the actual dancing wasn't that good.

2 - Ola going down the Chris Hollins 'Isn't he adorable?' route with Steve's choreography is not a good plan.

3 - Anton's muff-ography in Judy's cha cha was

4 - Love Claudia, especially her moment with Iveta, but feel that Tess lacks the necessary sparkle for the lead spot.

5 - In a week when most of the music and costumes were dreadful I adored Tim and Natalie's routine. Beautiful music, romantic staging and Natalie looked incredible. Surprisingly it was my favourite overall routine of the night.

2. I thought Frankie was great - I wasn't too sure what the judges were talking about? I loved the rock and roll theme of it! Frankie is much better and much more fun than I thought she'd be.

3. I thought Jake's Salsa was overmarked. The daring lifts in the second half of it covered up a lot of mistakes in the first half. It definitely didn't deserve a 9 at this stage.

4. There was something dodgy about Scott's marks. Craig's comments made me think it would be a 2 or a 3, and Len gave it a 6? NO WAY was it better than Jennifer, or Gregg for that matter.

5. I hope Judy somehow makes it through to next week. I think knowing the public have voted for her would give her a big confidence boost.”

Yes I thought Frankie was under marked and that the scores for Scott were very odd, especially considering how harsh Craig was on better dancers. Len giving a 6 was disgraceful. I hope Scott goes but think we will be stuck with him for a few weeks.

Jake was great! Hope he keeps it up.

Would like to see more training in the VTs, instead of the "faffing abaht!"

Pixie was over-marked.

Thom is not as good as I had hoped.

Enjoying Claudia!

1. Never again should any dance involve whipped cream.
2. Never again should any dance involve tennis racquets.
3. Never again should any dance be a Tango to "Sing".
4. Never again should any dance be a Tango to "Stop".
5. To provide a variation on this theme - did costume suddenly realise they'd forgotten Mark and had to pop out to Primark?

1. alison and aljaz - my favourite coupkle of the night. not the best dancers but a clever, cheeky, sexy, fun routine and a great partnership.

2. sunetra - something about her. fluid, beautiful, sensuous and completely effortless and un-affected quality to her movement

3. what was the boy from essex wearing! shocking. especially given his partners flowing dress, he should have been in tails.

4. natalie working hard to keep the antique man's hands from straying (unintentionally, i'm sure)

5. judy is probably the worst dancer, but greg has to go - so uncomfortable to watch, i think he probably has nightmares about it, and so will i!

Can I add a cheeky 6 and say that I loved Steve's horror at realising he had landed in front of Ian Beale for his sexy gyrating movement?

And 7 - I loved Scott's 'Oooh, missus!' tango face!

1. The show could have been a good ten minutes shorter - the 'Coming Next' and 'I Don't Want To Go Home' clips were not required plus they're taking into account Bruce's bumbling which isn't there anymore.

2. They need to plan the show better. The programme was painful until Alison and Aljaz came on - flat with little to no talent on display. I understand they were keeping stronger dancers for The X Factor clash but that's no good if people switch off from boredom before that point.

3. Tess and Claudia worked so well when Bruce was resting/ill so why are they trying so hard this time around? They need to be natural.

4. The cheesy judges entrance isn't needed - give the show it's class back.

5. Who picked the songs tonight?
smude
04-10-2014
1 Not getting the Alison love and she can't dance
2 Song choices are getting worse. They are no way related to the dances
3 Costumes not much better. Some shockers tonight
4 Love Judy but she should maybe go
5 Simon is smug and pleased he didn't get good marks

1. Darcey is the worst judge at the moment (sure love, Sunetra was only one point better then Judy...............offcourse!)
2. Jake is easily the best male celeb at the moment.
3. Perhaps because I am not a woman, but I always tune out (mentally) when either Thom or Mark are dancing.
4. Pixie was very good tonight, shame about being devoid of any personality though.
5. Thought that Sunetra was undermarked, especially considering the other marks (should have been straight 7's; would not have bothered anyone with all those 9's laying about). Probably the most sensual woman this series (Pixie and Frankie are kids and Caroline just doesn't have it).

1)Normally I have a very high music threshold on Strictly but some of those song choices were just bizarre and the music not particularly. Seriously. a tango to 'Stop' by the Spice Girls?! And that version they did of 'Mambo No 5' sounded awful

2)Jake was really good. Thought he'd be good but surprised by just how good.

3)I just can't warm to Pixie and Trent - especially Trent. They seem nice enough but really bland.

4)Whereas Alison and Aljaz I'm really warming to. Wasn't sure on that partnership at first but really like them now. After not being convinced by Aljaz as a pro for the first half of last series, I think he's one of the bettter pros.

5)I can see Mark and Thom being the 'journey' contestants this year. Both have potential and I'm surprised how likable Mark is.

1 Some really bad costumes. Even Jake looked awful.
2 There are people who should never signup for this show
3 It looks like a 3 horse race. Am I imagining it or is there a higher percentage of contestants that don't stand a chance and aren't in the least bit entertaining.
4 Loving that Bruce is gone at last.
5 Too many personalised props...yes we know Gregg is a baker, a very irritating one.

1. At last a real salsa, hasn't been one since Brian Fortuna left. Is was a fantastic surprise. What great hips from Jake too.

2. The music choices for all the tangos were truly awful, why do they do that? Made all the tangos totally unmemorable.

3. Didn't like the fifties style charleston at all, felt like it should have been a jive.

4. I didn't see any dancing in Judy & Anton's routine it was all faffing and a bit of walking around. Definately the worst of the night & hope they leave tonight.

5. Love Claudia in the show.

1) Jake and Janette - wow! Amazing! Looking forward to seeing their slower ballroom dances
2) Alison and Aljaz are a great partnership: loved their dance! They both look like they're having a blast!
3) WHAT was Anton doing near Judy's skirt in their dance?!?!
4) Costume department need to really look at what suits each dance; some of the 'outfits' on tonight's show were way off the mark, both in style and colour
5) Craig - no need to make nasty personal remarks to the lovely Steve...

1. It's a long show wading through 9 bad dancers to watch the 6 contenders !
2. Fed up with the music and the stupid over use of props - cakes and tennis net FGS !
3. The boy's outfits need to go back to how they were - black trousers / shirt for latin, morning suits for ballroom. Silly clothes tonight.
4. Claudia looked spot on tonight - beautiful dress and nicer length hair.
5. Missing some of the other Pro's very much - show lost it's sparkle for me a tiny bit

1. Jake was fantastic. Fantastic.
2. Some horrible dresses and hairstyles and staging this week.
3. Scoring all over the shop. And please, please, whoever decides these things, if you want me to respect the judges' opinions, stop them dancing in at the beginning!
4. I enjoyed Sunetra, Jennifer and Tim more than I expected and I really could understand the love for Tristan and Alijaz tonight for the first time. Lots of lovely celebs in it this year.
5. But all my votes were for Steve. I know it wasn't his night, but he really tried and I'm certain he can do better in different dances and I wanted to give him a hug after he'd got through the judges' bit. He's such a lovely bloke.

1. The first two weeks have sort of passed me by. The normal excitement I feel at the start of a series is just not there and I don't really know why. Maybe the pairings have got something to do with it alongside what looks like a pretty horrendous standard of dance from some celebs this year.
2. For the second week in a row I feel Joanne's choreography gave Scott no chance of success. The song choice was totally anti Tango too. His head movements were frenzied rather than sharp. Painful viewing.
3. Darcey - pro hunk. Bruno - Bonkers. Craig - OTT. Usually its Len who I am critical of but tonight I felt a bit sorry for him.
4. 15 couples is too many. I would reduce it to 12. Tonight dragged on too long even accounting for all the VT and pre-amble.
5. Although Jake stole the show I see some promise in Sunetra. She could be the one to sneak up quietly and surprise a few as time goes on.
