And the same with songs - just because a song is called 'Treasure' you don't need to have a huge treasure chest as part of the routine.

Yeah - that remark was a bit harsh from Craig.

Steve may not have been the most clinical dancer in that routine but he was certainly 'giving it his all' and it was an entertaining routine and he seems to be genuinely really enjoying the show so I don't see why Craig had to be so nasty.
There were other dances far more deserving of a nasty remark than that.

1. I have loved Jake Wood for years. My love got deeper tonight and I'm going to fight anyone that make eyes out of him
2. Frankie needs some hair. The boy-ish cut isn't going with the dresses
3. I like Tess and Claudia and think they're doing great
4. The singers were a bit ropey tonight. A few songs were awful
5. Why is Judy Murray there? She's not a celebrity, she's someone's mum. She's bloody lucky to be there and can't be bothered. Even her going up the stairs at the end was half-hearted!

1. The Man with the Hat!!!! Yay!!!

2. Whoever picked the tango music for all 3 of the dances should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

3. Ola's choreography is actually boring me now. Knee slides AGAIN.

4. I love Sunetra. She is, for me, what Strictly is all about. I hope she stays for a while yet.

5. stop with the props, stupid waste of time VT's etc (though I could have copied and pasted this every week for years)

1) I like Thom and enjoyed his dance but that song belongs to Mark and Karen, imo

2) Jake is a revelation to me, loved that salsa

3) Why does Tess mis-pronounce Ola's name every week?

4) I agree with the other comments about having traditional tango music

5) My favourite dances were: Thom, Jake, Simon, Frankie and Pixie

1. Janette - LOVE her! Love that she is giving Jake such advanced stuff and he's doing it so well.

2. That waltz from Pixie was beautiful, she looked like a ballerina.

3. Last week I hated Greg but he was actually alright this week and even Aliona didn't look totally repulsed at dancing with him!

4. Judy was beyond awful. Seriously, she looks miserable and seems like she almost begrudges having to dance... why did she ever agree to do this show?

5. I don't care what anyone says, I loved the show tonight. Its light entertainment and its brilliant at it!

1. I disagree with a lot of people about Tess, I love her and Claudia equally
2. Jake REALLY surprised me, I thought he'd struggle at Latin! So happy for Janette
3. Alison still remains my favourite!
4. Judy was just painful to watch.
5. It's confusing me.. Joanne's choreography just seems to terrible

1. Jake's stunts were second to none, brilliant. The actual dancing element didn't quite match up though.
2. Great dances from Caroline and Pixie.
3. Simon constantly being in shot with his arms crossed or sitting down and standing up in the pit was grating. He comes across as very rude and arrogant.
4. Judy has got to go, and she can take Anton with her for good. There are always people that are the joke acts and those that aren't very good but that was just plain horrible.
5. Claudia is too good at what she does to have Tess out front churning out appalling scripted jokes so terribly.

1. Craig is a rude little man
2. Craig is a nasty little man
3. Craig is vile to deliberately destroy the confidence of a contestant the way he did with Steve
4. I hope Steve is able to understand that the comment from Craig that he shouldn't bother coming back was more about Craig taking the opportunity for a witticism to make himself look funny, rather than him meaning it.
5. Craig should apologise to Steve on air

Craig was always a self serving eejit . Puts others down for effect .

1. Jake's salsa made my jaw hit the floor at the end and I was grinning like Ian Beale.
Would he have got 10s if this was later in the show? Probably!

2. Alison is so entertaining

3. Judy/Jennifer aren't. Shame, I like them both but watching Judy's cha-cha-cha at the beginning was a di-sas-ter, darling.

4. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SONG FOR A TANGO?!! Poor Scott! I know he's not brilliant but at least give him something to work with!

5. Love Claudia as always!

01. Terrible music choices for the three Tangos

02. Judges scores erred on the side of over-marked (except Sunetra who was under-marked)

03. I thought Jake was very over-marked. The lifts were ambitious and he did them really well, but the actual dancing wasn't all that.

04. Celebs complaining of having such busy schedules and then being forced to spend time filming silly VTs

05. Tess please stop with standing ovation watch, it's week 2.

1) Told you opening night how good Jake looked

2) How annoying are Simon, Anton & Alison?

3) Did Caroline volunteer for the "contestant with the least flattering costume" role or does she just turn up last for wardrobe meetings?

4) Loving Steve

5) There's only one routine worthy of "HOT HOT HOT" and it isn't the wooden fullback & the scary woman..and did they think we'd forgotten about Mark & Karen?

1) We need to start letting the dancers pick the music and setting again - the music choices and the staging were terrible for most of the couples tonight. The pros have no chance making something decent with some of the things that get foisted on them.
2) Really enjoyed Jake and Janette again this week - early faves for me.
3) Feel bad for Judy - she's getting it in the neck but she's trying hard, she's just not very good or comfortable. The tennis curse strikes again - they just never look comfortable in dancing shows.
4) Kevin and Frankie are so good, but I feel nothing when watching them.
5) Claudia looked really great tonight. Really enjoying her in her new role.

1. It's all about the ginger groover at the moment. Astounding Salsa! Just hope Jake has plenty in the tank, I'd hate for him to burn out mid-series like Scott Maslen did.

2. Whilst Kevin was in his element, I think Frankie's too demure for a Happy Days themed Charleston. They should have gone for something more Kara- or Sophie- esque. I think elegant Ballroom will be more her thing.

3. Sunetra looked gorgeous in her flapper dress and her Cha Cha was better than I was expecting. Lots of steps, smooth, danced with real joy. Lovely lady too.

4. Was tiresome seeing the gay guy being given a camp fluffy Tango to do.

5. As good as it was, I felt quite emotionally detached from Pixie's Waltz. And I really don't mind her at all, but so far her dancing's not really doing it for me. I wonder if it's because I still think she and Trent look odd together and whether that's something I'll get over.

1. Maybe the worst week for music on SCD ever? Either clichιd tripe that's been used many times before, stuff that's supposed to be "down with the kids" that's awful or just plain inappropriate. About the only merit was getting away from the themed songs of last week.

2. Wardrobe as bad as the music. Very few decent outfits in the whole thing. Music and wardrobe distractingly awful.

3. Some iffy marking, especially near the bottom of the board.

4. So far I like Caroline, Simon, Sunetra and Jake.

5. Much though I thought the whole impact of Jake's dance was actually due to Janette, that should have been the dance to close the show.

Very good point. I don't know that Scott could really pull off a moody tango as Jake and Steve managed last week, but why not let him try? Why give him pink girly staging and music? It really struck an odd note.

1 – Pixie's strange dissociated baby-talk is doing my head in. And Trent needs that shaggy do – the slicked back hair ruined his looks.

2 – I feel terrible about it but I can't stand watching Alison dance – guess I'm too biased against big girls.

3 – My heart's breaking for Judy – she's quite nice just talking to the camera, but on the dance floor, she's so petrified and miserable. I'm even feeling sorry for Anton!

4 – Darcey seemed to fumble over her words a lot this week. I miss Arlene dammit. And Tess doesn't seem to be settling in as main host. I want Anton/Claudia, in either order. Or bring Zoe over? Graham Norton or Alan Carr would be a dream!! Or any of a thousand people besides Tess! How about Russell Brand?

5 – Jake scares me.

1. Do Darcey, Len and Bruno actually possess any paddles with the numbers 1,2,3 or 4 on them?
2. If not, why not?
3. If yes, do they realise they can actually use them?
4. If not, why not?
5. If yes, why don't they?

Gets my vote. Would never have thought of him but he's just the right side of crazy and he looks like Jesus. I can imagine him taking Craig to task for not operating from the place of love in his spirit. He can also occasionally gabble so it would be like getting a little hint of Brucie back again. He'd be especially welcome with that big white Troos dog, whatshisface? (I seem to think Brian?)

1) Really enjoyed tonight's show. I thought it flew by

2) I really like Tess and Claudia as a presenting duo, but the part which really lets the show down imo is the judges comments sections. Tess just doesn't seem comfortable with the more spontaneous 'chatty' bits with the celebs and tends to just talk/shout over the judges and it can be awkward. But other than that the links/intros are a lot quicker and better

3) Claudia is brilliant in her role

4) There's some fantastic dancers this year amongst the celebs. I think it's a strong year...

5) The overall atmosphere and chemistry between the dancers/celebs/presenters is great. It's a real fun show to watch...

1) It really is time that we had a shake up of the judges panel.

2) Dreadful music for the Tangos, the pros must be really fed up with trying to choreograph to such inappropriate music

3) Very impressed with Jake and Janette, also like Caroline and Sunetra.

4) Not keen on Simon and Thom, they both seem quite smug, on the other hand I find myself liking Mark

5) Poor Judy, I'm not sure if I would feel bad for her going the first week or relieved.

1) Pixie Lott must have already had extensive dance training, her waltz was just effortless.
2) Greg Wallace, just what is it with him and cream? Cringy.
3) Judy Murray, omg what is she doing there?
4) Jake Wood is just full of surprises isn't he!
5) Natalie and Tim might just be the sweetest couple ever, he's not great but they seem to genuinely adore each other.

1. Jake is good I just wish I liked him, not an east endears fan
2 Caroline, frankie , Alison are my faves
3. Bless Natalie and Tim such a great partnership
4 poor Aliona she deserves better!
5 Joanne is so annoying

1. Cannot take to Jake even though his dance was marvelous
2. Alison Hammond and her dancing do nothing for me, I actually cannot stand her.
3. The music choices were appalling
4. Likewise costumes..really bad
5. Loving Claudia...she's doing a terrific job

1.) do the producers deliberately set up some contestants to fail? It's so unfair that the music can ruin any chance of a dance having the right feel... Scott is finding it hard anyway, giving him spice girls just feels like sabotage.
2.) I predict an early shock exit for Pixie. Yes she's good, but we already knew that. I don't see her getting the votes. Frankie may fare better, she seems to have a bit of a better partnership and more character.
3.) Jake and Caroline are definitely the ones to watch. Finalist predictions.
4.) Claudia makes me giggle. I don't care about fringe or outfit criticism, her personality is perfect for the show.
5.) I'd take Anya's dancing over Joanne Clifton so far tbh. Although all the girls are just generally insanely beautiful and talented.
