I made an observation beforehand that Tim leered when he got partnered with Natalie - that reminded me of Leslie Phillips. Then last week I noticed his hand was resting on Natalie's behind when talking to Claudia after their dance. And then last night he grabbed Claudia and pulled her to him. He's too grabby - gives me the creeps.

I don't think Natalie minds, I noticed she gave him a peck on the cheek. But then they've spent a fair bit of time with each other. Not sure Claudia was as comfortable but went along with it anyway!

I really don't think Tim means any harm though, I don't find him creepy, and his behaviour's pretty tame when compared to how some of the women are with Aljaz and Thom.

I agree with you. Gregg got a lot of abuse for being a letch but imo Tim is far, far worse!!

He actually gives me the creeps.

i agree, i noticed his hand slipping down towards natalie's bottom last week when talking to claudia, she looked uncomfortable, like she was trying to make him aware of what he was doing.

this week she firmly made sure he (and she) knew exactly where his hands were and kept them at her waist. i notice he grabbed claudia too.

maybe its unintentional or he just has old fashioned ideas about whats acceptable, but he needs to be careful he doesn't look like a letch.

Jake gives me the creeps. I must be missing something. I find he has no charisma and he seems to look straight through to people. He over touches his partner.

Thank God, I'm not alone. I don't like him at all, despite his great dance last night. He appears to be a charm free zone.

I think Jake is great and he's just having fun really. He has no need to build or re-build a profile, he has a steady job on one of the country's top shows and he's at a level where he will most likely be to the one who decides when to walk away from Max Branning. He doesn't need the money and there's no intensity to his story, he's just there to enjoy himself and it comes through.

Tim is very old-fashioned hence his gentlemanly demeanour in the majority, however, he is from a different generation where boundaries were perhaps different to as they are now. I'm sure if Natalie and Claudia are truly uncomfortable, they will tell him. Similar things were being said about Ashley and Ola last year.

Tim ? I think it's just the way he is, he's the same on Bargain Hunt with ladies of any age.
Yes, there is a bit of the Leslie Phillips about him, but he was harmless as well, wasn't he ?
Also, his wife was in the audience.

And if you met him, you'd find he's an absolute gent who puts people at ease. Always polite, always has time to talk to anyone who approaches him at events, always tips his hat to ladies, always holds the door open for other people to go through first. Very old fashioned in manners unlike many modern men. Makes me smile because there's nothing lecherous about him and no nasty intent in anything he does and he loves his wife and family.

Lovely post . I hate when people are tagged a letch when we don't even know them. From what I've seen of them they are both married men who love their wives and (in Jakes case) young children.

It looks like Jake is going out of his way not to be seen to be touchy feely to make a married man with kids statement. He said something about loving his wife and kids somewhere.

BTW I don't watch EastEnders or any soaps for that matter.

He might seem that way but I met him when a friend was on Bargain hunt. We had our photos taken with him and he had his arm around me as well (I'm male), I don't think he means anything by it.

Just watching the results show and it was Natalie that asked for the hug, if she was uncomfortable she would not act this way. If others are uncomfortable that might say more of them. Sorry.

I know I should not laugh at that but I did.

I like Tim, I met him in a hotel bar once, he was nice.

Is this because he is considered young and attractive where Tim is not though?

I'm not accusing Ashley of any dodgy behaviour, in fact, he seems like a really nice guy who I think held onto Ola a lot as almost a nervous tick.

I think Tim is simply from an era where placing an arm around a woman's waist and pulling her close was more accepted that it is today, there is highly unlikely to be anything sexual in it.

I'm also pretty sure that if there was and he was touching Natalie's arse or something, she would not be backward in coming forward about telling him and the same would have applied to Ola last year with Ashley.

Jake is shy and reserved. Comes across as cold.

Lovely post . I've seen him on Bargain Hunt and he does seem a lovely, courteous gentleman . You have to love someone who is doing Strictly so he can dance with his wife on her birthday .

He's a lovely refreshing change from so much of the angry, agression that mars a lot of the interchanges between today's young people.
