It was on ITV called Born To Shine in 2012 and flopped, HARD!! Sub 2m I think.

Where is Nick Knowles when you need him?

Itv's will be more major as it involves celebrities, staging, live performances [for the final] etc. If Win Your Wishlist does badly, no problems, the BBC can just get rid of it from the schedules and bring in repeats of Pointless Celebrities which will get 20%+ shares. Itv wont pull Get Your Act Together from the schedules even if it does badly. If it does do bad, their entire Sunday night lineup including Mr Selfridge will be screwed over due to lack of people watching the channel, so lots is riding on it.

What do you mean 'If' is does bad? Of course it will.

A last ASFF will provide some support to the drama at 9pm. It will only be against CF anyway.

Born to Shine isn't the one I was thinking of although it is another similar format.

After a Google search I think I was thinking of The All Star Talent Show which did indeed air on Channel 5.

Presumably filming one of his other 20 BBC shows. At least the Americans have taken Barrowman off our hands.

Weekend Lineups in January looks set to be:

Saturdays:
17:00 FA Cup/Six Nations
19:00 The Voice UK
20:20 Atlantis
21:00 Casualty
21:10 Lottery Draws
22:00 BBC News
22:30 Match Of The Day

18:30 You've Been Framed
19:00 Stars In Their Eyes
20:00 Take Me Out
21:20 Jonathan Ross Show
22:20 Itv News
22:35 Old Films

Sundays:
19:00 Countryfile
20:00 Call The Midwife
21:00 Drama: Musketeers/Poldark

19:00 Get Your Act Together
20:15 All Star Family Fortunes
21:00 Mr Selfridge

In all honesty, I cannot see BBC1 losing a single slot there, even Atlantis. They are looking way too strong. The FA Cup addition will bolster their Saturday night ratings even more than earlier this year.

My favourite Genome discovery so far is the list of contributors for Jim'll Fix It at Christmas at 5.15pm:

If the format is crap, the popularity/likeability of the presenter is irrelevant.

"Red or Black" should have taught you that.

I'm less than convinced they'd put Stars in their Eyes opposite The Voice to be honest.

If ITV gave Stars In Their Eyes a YBF lead in, then frankly they deserve to fail. Its a tired, poorly watched clip show that needs to be moved to ITV2.

I think Stars In Their Eyes will be at 8pm really on Saturday, or 7pm on Sunday tbh. Putting it against TVUK would be a bit foolish.

Jim really could get some major guests on his show.

Seven Heavens? Come to think of it, that's probably a title reserved for a(nother) vehicle for Len Goodman. I'm hoping he'll tip ITV over the edge in the daytime ratings tussle next week.

Stuart Blackburn says that Coro has a 'massive storyline for January 2015'. They are going to be shooting 5 episodes over 22 days, which is double the time it normally takes them to film 5 episodes. This only happens when there is major stunts.

Thanks DMN.

Stand Up To Cancer must have done well looking at those ratings.

#StandUpToCancer pulled in some big audiences for Channel 4 last night. The most watched segment, from 9.15 to 9.40, pulled in 4.09m/18.1%.

IIRC this was for the Gogglebox segment. Great numbers there.

BBC1's long running sitcom #NotGoingOut returned with 3.60m/16.5%. Lewis on ITV drew 4.72m/21.3%, down 840k on last week's first episode.

Not surprised that Lewis was down. Of course we'll get the 'Lewis is in crisis' posts.
