Arrow I think premiered at a 1.3 demo with 4.14m. The Vampire Diaries S4 opening got a 1.8 demo, and it apparently beat that too.

90210 got a 2.6 demo I think on that day Does this mean The Flash hit a 2.0+ demo?

I really hope they advertised Arrow during the show (they must have), hopefully a nice healthy 1.0+ for Arrow when it returns tonight!

The Flash is a much bigger name compared to Arrow. WB and DC may be behind Marvel movie wise but they are doing well with television

It'll be hard to be as good as the original but it has potential if they embrace what made the original work but make it work as a film rather than an extended TV episode like the last Dads Army film.

TV to film adaptations have been a lot more successful in recent years with 21/22 Jump Street and The Equalizer. The Man from UNCLE is coming next year and they've been trying to do a Persuaders films for years

Sounds like they are still trying to negotiate terms. No official renewal announcement has been made with less than three months remaining until the next series of CBB is due to air.

They will be so long again with wildcards.

I imagine they'll want a cheaper price for regular BB, I wouldn't be surprised if they keep CBB but not regular BB

Maybe that is what they want and Endemol are not being very accommodating. After last year's extension to the January series proved successful, you could probably get away with 2 x 5 week runs a year but I wouldn't push it any further than that through fear of compromising on calibre of celebs.

If a new Star Trek series happens it'll land on CBS or one of the other major networks. Its far too big a property these days. From what I remember the general plan when they did the new films was for a Star Trek series of some description to happen after a trilogy of new Star Trek films so in theory one should be on the horizon.

The guests for The Jonathan Ross Show is Saturday is; Sir David Attenborough, Mel B, Cheryl (Cole) and Steve Carrell.

The problem is, if you check the Star Trek forum out there, that the fans seem to want a post Next Generation set series and not one in the rebooted pre Next Generation universe of the films.

They blame the going backwards for the Enterprise setting as the reason for the show's demise because in Star Trek terms it was like a historical version.

If the fans are not on board then they have to win over a whole new audience and to do that they probably have to set it in the time frame of the movies.

On that forum they have a whole sub section devoted to discussing the various attempts to revive the format and the complex rights (which differ from film to TV) that compromise things.

All sorts of people have pitched ideas for a revival. None have been taken up. But there have been recent rumours of an animated version.

Perhaps Thunderbirds are Go might be watched more closely in certain US TV circles to see if ITV can make it work on network TV.

Given that CBS has aired shows like Under the Dome and Extant plus have upcoming shows like Zoo and Supergirl. It wouldnt be a surprise it it aired on CBS itself since its a major franchise for them although any TV series would probably involve Paramount and perhaps Bad Robot. Come 2016, Star Trek will be everywhere so CBS would want to capitalise on it,

TBH I think catering to the fans is what almost killed off the franchise. The new films aren't perfect but they managed to bring in a new audience to a franchise which likely would have stayed rested.

I think any new Star Trek series needs to closer to the current films and not the past TV shows.

Holy heck, that rating and demo for the Flash is beyond words! Hoping Arrow can debut tonight high too in connection!

Supernatural does seem to be pulling in a decent audience after all these years, isn't this season supposed to be its last. Considering its the last show from The WB era to still be running, it's done well for itself.
