The author has taken the official figure from BARB for ITV SD only (HD & +1 too small to make the top 10s).

Does anyone have an official HD-included rating for the BRITs this year on 19 February (exc/inc +1)? Thanks.

Wait. The actors didn't know about the car stunt?

I'm not sure the Emmerdale audience is a particular threat - and it gets an EE lead-in. They've timed it to get the artists out promoting for Christmas and they've got in ahead of the XF Final. But so many of the acts had performed those songs on XF already or even the RVP on Monday.

It was a dreadful year for The BRITS, next years show will be quite different I suspect.

That makes sense.

Now I'm going to be wondering who is in the car. Looks good. Hope EastEnders can get a few extra viewers over Christmas.

All look fab. I think SOAH will do well. Its a cosy sitcom.

I must admit, EE does look good in that trailer. I'm no EE fan, but I'm more inclined to watch EE over Xmas than Corrie which has an awful Xmas trailer.

Thanks lewie! The DS search system doesn't like me.

How low do we think Olly Murs will be tonight? These music specials tend not to rate well and especially not ones featuring stars who appeal to a younger audience. Maybe 2.5m? 3m at a push perhaps.

Around 3m I would have thought - HIGNFY seems to have a loyal audience.

The DS search system is completely screwed. It doesn't work at all and throws up no results. Awful.

Doesn't help when you have a thread that is 13,000 posts long.

Now, what thread was that, again?

Oh, that's right. The ratings thread:

Thursday 4th December 2014 - Consolidated Ratings
I'm a Celebrity - 9.28m (8.89m excl. +1)

Do you have the ratings for last Thursday's The Fall DMN?

Search doesn't work at all in any thread. The forum is playing up.

Saying the BBC Music Awards rated well because it was 0.3m lower than the lowest ever rating for the Brits which itself was much lower than recent years, isn't a great statistic.

Set against that, it's a manufactured awards ceremony which is coming from a standing start (albeit with plenty of cross-platform promotion).

Yeah I do wonder
I can't think who might be in the car tbh. We don't always get told someone is leaving.

Thing is that trailer doesn't even cover half the storylines running at Christmas.
No mentions of the reveals and the Lucy Beale Twist.
I think (and I said it a few times) EastEnders will be up on last Christmas and will be top rated soap.

Agreed. It is hard but I think once we get into Christmas week we will see ratings rise.
I hope the BBC continue to advertise it.

Thanks DMN. The Fall is doing well for a BBC2 drama in general but ratings of 5m seem so long ago now.

I sometimes think you read my words and completely ignore their meaning.
Since when do the words 'not bad' mean 'rated well' when I also said 'both are frankly low for what they aspire to.'

Things have certainly changed ratings wise in the last year. I wonder what changes we might see next year?

Well they certainly need an all out campaign to give it a boost but even it works for the holiday week I cant help but feel it wont sustain it - I just think those times have passed for all the soaps.
