I think you may have solved the post Strictly ratings nose dive of "Atlantis", I'd email the BBC with yer plans for series 3!!

Apparently last years XF figure was the 2nd lowest finale ever.

Did you miss most of the front pages of the tabs yesterday, all the hysteria about Cole and Cowell coming back? I don't watch the show but you can't avoid it at times, it's had much more hype then the last two years.

Maybe the BBC as a replacement for Atlantis, should create a series about a teenage boy wizard. He lives in present day England, but can travel to another world through a mirror in his bedroom, where he is a powerful wizard fighting demons and saving beautiful women and the far away alien planet.

I hope tonight rated badly so they kick it into shape next year.

Maybe but the problem is that then he acts and would lose all of that goodwill! They only need to change two things on Atlantis to make it work. The actors and the writers.

I thought it was being kicked into shape this year with all of the changes and the return of Simon & Cheryl.

Conclusions to "The Fall" and "The Missing" this week so probably some high overnights for the BBC this week. Wonder if the BBC planned the wrap up of both investigations one after the other! Just as well we have "Broadchurch" in the new year from ITV to keep the police busy!

Does anyone have the ratings for The Voice UK from earlier this year, how does it compare to this series of XFactor?

You do have to wonder what else they could do to change things now, this years changes did have the smell of desparation about them and they didnt work anyway.

"The Voice" ended with 7.14 million viewers but I dunno about the series averages.

Harry Potter and the TARDIS-like Mirror?

According to wiki The Voice had a series average of 8.10m. XF is heading for around 9-9.1m.

If "The Voice" were to take advantage of "The X Factor" it would have in the last series I think, unless it has a major rise with the new panel of 2015. "The X Factor" may have weakened but it still remains the stronger of the two formats.

Think The Voice could be set for some hefty declines with Rita Ora replacing Kylie though. Urghhhhh. The fact they aren't even promoting it yet when it's back in under a month says it all.

So that's what they are missing then. More hype to get all those lost viewers back.

I wonder what it's opposition will be - Stars in Their Eyes and Take Me Out, one after the other?

Takeaway will probably return around February time.

Stars in Their Eyes might give The Voice a tougher time than Splash! ratings wise.

I think it'll do alright, I'm not sure Kylie did as much for the Ratings as the move to January did, and Rita Ora is kinda current (not that she'd have been even my 10th Choice) They'll probably launch the promotion between the Strictly Final as they did last year and then plug over Christmas for a 10th Jan Start which will be plenty imo

They didn't really promote the previous series of Splash until Christmas fortnight. Was around December 21st. I think ratings will be done but also due to it facing Stars In Their Eyes.
