"@overnightstv: ITV's #TextSanta extravaganza won a large chunk of the night for ITV, with avge 4.3m/22.7% and peak 5.6m/26.2% at 9pm."

"@overnightstv: #MaryBerry and her #absolutechristmas on BBC2 at 8.30 gained strong 2.5m/11.9%."

"@overnightstv: Last in series of #Gogglebox on C4 at 9pm drew strong 2.7m/12.9%, bringing season avge to excellent 2.9m/13.2%."

ITV put a lot of effort into Text Santa, it's on for a few hours so should do well, never gets close to Children In Need numbers. It's an odd thing.

I thought Citizen Khan and NGO were both good last night.

I prefer Text Santa to CiN. Perhaps because its newer and fresher and seems to have less 'buy my album' (even though there were some of those) vibes about it.

That's a good question. Looks down on last year as was Norton.

HIGNFY up on last year, but EastEnders down about 0.5m and Graham Norton took the biggest hit down about 0.65m on last year. Text Santa down 0.4m on last year.

It's better than Children In Need to me but doesn't have the ratings pull of that show.

I guess I will be in the minority then - as I thought that it was awful. I still have an overwhelming urge to kill Ant and Dec with a spoon

The point that CIN has regional input was made on the Text Santa thread. This definitely helps with its ratings

So they raised just about £1 per viewer ?

I wonder how much the ad slots were during the show, and how much of that money was given to the charity ?

Personally I think Citizen Khan is trash but yes Not Going Out was amazing. Overall this has been a great series and I can't wait for the Christmas special. Although somehow I doubt it'll rate very highly.

I beg to differ. Wogan needs to retire, Daly is the dullest presenter on TV and the less said about Grimshaw the better. Insufferable on Radio 1, even worse when I have to look at him as well.

Won't the news be long because they will be reporting from places hit by the 2004 Boxing day Tsunami, lots of commemorations from the various hit countries both on Boxing day and the day before I would have thought.

The BBC also have the mighty Alex Jones! I'd pick the Text Santa line up over all of Children In Need apart from Wogan.

He is one of the most annoying Hosts on TV and is crap at LIVE tv fluffing his lines on This Morning Alot. That Paddy guy is also rubbish.
Ant and Dec are good though.
