So many problems and anomolies with BARB.
It makes me wonder how accurate the overnights truly are if there are so many anomalies with the officials.
I think we should keep this in perspective - we have identified ONE anomaly so far, regarding the allocation of timeshift when a programme is repeated in the same week on the same channel. BARB have confirmed this effect and led us to believe it would mainly affect BBC shows but the colossal consolidation of the Boxing Day Downton repeat makes us wonder. It could be that Sky On Demand (with no internal breaks to distinguish the audio) was disproportionately used for the Christmas Day Downton and that has led to timeshift piling up on the repeat, which was so soon after the original broadcast.

Arsenal V Hull turned out to be quite a dull match.

Haven't you heard the phrase,

" Know what I mean Harry. "

perhaps I am showing my age again.

You're right, Andy, a bad pundit is a bad pundit whoever employs him. Also catching some darts in the pub, the BBC's competition is like a pub competition compared with the extravaganza Sky put on at the same time. It's clear both BBC and ITV now lag behind Sky.
All of the best darts players left BDO to go to PDC. It's better quality, more entertaining and the one all of the celebrities go to. But BBC2's darts coverage always rates well.

Imagine what would have happened had ITV still had the FA Cup and they used Bullard as a pundit. I expect there would have been a number of comments slating ITV Sport and demanding that the rights went back to the beeb.
Bullard was bloody awful as was his dress sense.

Arsenal V Hull turned out to be quite a dull match.
Jimmy Bullard's shirt was the most interesting thing.

I no most people will disagree with me, but am really enjoying SOAH. Yes it's not as funny as it used to be, it was never going to be, but it still has some funny moments,

So far it's doing enough in the ratings.

True, but I just meant it makes easy Sunday viewing.

I agree with you. I liked the one last year and what we have seen in the series so far. Certainly more laughs than many a so called sitcom.

Does anyone else wonder when (if) DS will post the overnights for Tuesday (30th)?

I see it has changed from being a BBC Salford production to a BBC London production as all the interiors were done at Teddington. One off the BBC North quota.

Enjoyed Foyle's War on ITV this evening. Hope it manages to overnight with not too much of a decrease on the 7m+ figure it did for its last series premiere, back in 2013.

Yes its practically a procession year after year that the BDO winner moves onto the PDC(although a few players have returned).
As I understand it the BDO is still the sports governing body and looks after the grass roots of the game, but clearly the ongoing split is ridiculous. Attempts have been made but there is a lot of stubbornness.
The BDO Worlds do have a certain charm about them(and Lakeside is a great venue) and I think the BBC plays towards that (the presenters Colin Murray and Bobby George certainly do-and its one of Ally Ross of The Sun few favoured events).
Coverage hit a 6 million peak a few years ago when coverage overran and the score was 6-6. For all the PDC glitz and glamour that's one number I suspect they can only dream about.

Countryfile has discovered a great double act with Adam and his father, they should capitalise on it.

The omnibus editions will end in April.
That's good news. But why wait until April? January would've been a good point to axe it, with it being the start of a new year.

I think it might be about 5m as it is up against Countryfile and Last Tango in Halifax

You would of still been defending ITV, that's what would of happened

I think they should all be around 5m overnights although Countryfile never ceases to amaze.

Just noticed ITV are repeating Skyfall again on Saturday, why do they always overkill things? It got a great rating on Xmas Eve, but why not wait to show it again when the hype for the next film is in full swing next Winter, instead they'll repeat the hell out of it to ever diminishing ratings
they probably assumed bbc1 would put something decent on xmas eve in the final schedules...

Not all the top players.

The BDO is still the grass roots, the means by which players emerge before not all of them take Sky's pennies in their invite only closed shop. For all the PDC/Sky bravado, the Lakeside is still the home of darts, still the authorised world championship, and the one that actually gets an audience.

Not that many of the other ties were much better. Although of course, the one tie that was fairly exciting, Blyth v Birmingham, was the one which people suggested should have been picked instead of Everton v West Ham but wasn't. Meanwhile Dover v Palace was dull as a doughnut. It always happens like that.

Does Foyle's War skew the same as those two? I've never seen it before tonight but it has the name of Anthony Horowitz attached to it so surely it must have at least some younger interest. Or maybe, by enjoying it, I'm just playing the role of of unconventional teenager as usual For a show with a history of good overall figures, twitter was fairly quiet about it, I must admit.

Sorry about my phone btw. The predictive text is always changing "consolidated" to constipated. I can't always be bothered to change it.

That said the ratings do seem bunged up at the moment....

BBC Two can be received by everyone, Sky Sports is either subscription or a pub channel. Yet Sky make it more like a party, with dancing girls and music. Perhaps some 22 year old glamour model is a bit too un PC for the BBC.

You need to start your dog walking ratings service again and set up national network.

The Voice is stirring up the war on words with the Syco shows again - this can only go one way, oh dear.. Why it can't just focus on its own strengths I don't know.

I wonder which Emma Willis show will be deemed to have done better this time around. I know where my money is
