Just found a bit of this on YouTube after reading this post - simultaneously adorable, hilariously silly and utterly compelling. Eurovision meets The X Factor meets That Puppet Game Show. Judging by the fate of the latter it wouldn't take off on the main channels but Sky1 or C5 doing a version could be fun. Think the BBC would probably ruin it.

Bit unfortunate for Susanna Reid. Don't think anybody will be making that mistake again.

Add Benedict Cumberbatch in '12 Years A Slave' and Martin Freeman in 'Fargo' and you have four of the most popular British actors around who just can't do an American accent. How bizarre.
Talking of Fargo, surprised nobody has mentioned the National Television Awards longlist which was unveiled in the last 24 hours. They've got a new 'Talent Show judge' category - which Kylie Minogue is promptly excluded from. Will also be fascinated to see which of Peter Capaldi, David Tennant, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman come out on top in 'Drama Performance' with their crossover fanbases.

Not one live rating actually doubled by the catch-up audience, surprising. Clearly from this we can see that the Strictly boost would have been better served a weaker show but I don't think that necessarily means it should move. Particularly not in line with the following suggestion..

Would Doctor Who fans revolt if they didn't get a series next year because the BBC pushed it to Q1 2016? Probably but it might be worth doing since it looks like it'll just pull the exact same numbers wherever it is. Maybe another split series? Half the episodes in Autumn 2015 a Christmas Special and then the other half in Q1 2016. Although I wonder if that's a schedule Moffat would be able to keep to given that he'd presumably be prepping Sherlock for Q1 as well. Although Doctor Who, The Voice, Sherlock and Call the Midwife is a pretty astonishing weekend line-up for the BBC on paper...”
Noooooo! Moffat overload! The amount of promotion that the crossover teams have to do for Sherlock and Who individually would make airing both at the same time a non-starter, even if it wouldn't just be ruled out purely because spreading out the BBC's three bigeest youth-skewing fomats throughout the year makes far more sense than sticking it all on at once and potentially damaging at least one format through over-crowding.
Besides which I'm 99% sure that Moffat has confirmed that Series 9 of DW will air at the same time next year.
