I don't usually praise writers and directors for their work in episodes as I think the actors tend to carry most of the supreme EastEnders episodes, but for me the star of tonight's episode was Lauren Klee by far. She wrote some excellent dialogue and even had me thinking "Aww, poor Dean" by the end of the episode. Excellent performances from all of the Carters even Lee and Tina and including Babe.

A highlight was the conversation Linda and Dean had in the living room. I've been fluctuating on my like for the Carters, but I think this episode for me has shown that the Carters have what it takes to be among the great EastEnders families.

Well done Lauren Klee

I've noticed all this weeks episodes are written by women, coincidence? or given the storyline this week it might have been on purpose

I hope she and her bosses see this and understands that her work has been appreciated. It's easy to forget them lot behind the scenes.

It wouldn't surprise me if all last week's were written by men, given the dippy way the women, bar the psychotic ones have been acting!
