BBC defends EastEnders rape storyline following complaints

The BBC has defended its recent rape storyline after 278 complaints were made following Monday's episode.

Have people regressed in sensitivity, these days people are complete chicken's when watching tv. It wasnt the first rape story EE has done, these chickens who complain will raise other sheltered chickens who will also complain.

This is what happens when you give LN the job, you overload the show with non stop love and warmth and when EE goes back to what it does, they are not used to it.

Viewers shouldn't have this much power over tv shows in my opinion.

278 sad people, my god!! Get a life. Soaps hiding away from these very REAL issues won't make them go away, so why not try raise awareness! I thought it was done sensitively. Good on the beeb defending EE.

Ain't that true I love EE dark and gritty, I'm not in to lighthearted fluff, it does gritty brilliantly.
