Safari won't open?

i have noticed over the last month my Safari won't work, When I double click on the button to see what I have open on my iPad, an Amazon order screen pops up from a month ago, and when I open it it closes.

I then downloaded Google, and thought I would do my internet on there, but that seems to be limiting me to only a few sites

Have you reset your iPad by holding down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears?

By "downloaded Google" do you mean the Chrome browser?

Still Having problems, A Safari page which I closed down months ago, seems to pop up when I go to see what screens I have open.

It has got to a point any emails I open if they have a link, whatever is going on with my safari is making the emails shut, and not allowing me to do things.
