Whatever, Zoe (like Lisa Snowdon a couple of years later), was never going to finish higher than 3rd on that series. The judges pet syndrome saw to that!”

And Colin was never going to finish higher than 2nd.

Zoe was better than Colin, so no.

For me it was the other celebrity in that final three who was robbed, give it up for Zoe Ball.

How that plank Gough ever won is beyond a joke ( yes I know he got the most votes ), if Wikes are short of a few bits of 2x2 they only have to go to Gough to find a virtual forest

No, Tom outshone him in the end..

And that stupid dance with those dummies lost him the trophy

I liked Colin a lot. I switched on the TV for the series three final expecting to vote for him, but on the night I ended up preferring Darren. He seemed to be having more fun than the other two combined, he put his heart into it and he had a great relationship with Lilia. Obviously he didn't win on dance ability, but actually very few of the series are won by the best dancers.

I do look back and think it's sad that Colin didn't win a trophy though.

Hey, he won that Christmas Special (when Darren didn't turn up and they gave Ramps quite low scores to stop him winning)!

I thought Colin was the best male celebrity, and, if Strictly is a dance competition, then Colin, Denise and Natalie should have won but the show has now become an entertainment programme, which is why Chris Hollins won in Series 7 ....... have had three favourite celebs who went on to win, namely Ramps, Alesha and Louis, but this year I don't mind who wins, although I do like Thom and am hoping he'll be in the show for a few more weeks

Colin should have won but was he robbed? Nope, puppet gate was to blame
Ricky should have won too but his show dance was a bit pants.
Austin should have at least had a bash at it.....I will never forgive the judges I am pretty sure Erin would have never have messed up again.

Colin wasn't even the 'most robbed' contestant of his series - Zoe Ball is the 'most robbed' contestant of all time.

Now I loved his showdance and really liked the irony of choosing "Last Dance" for their music.

IMHO both Ricky and Colin lost out to the popularity vote, coupled with neither of them having a visible journey.

I have to admit when Colin lost I stopped seeing SCD as a dancing competition and always have a wry smile when people start lamenting about "bad" dancers getting through over the good ones. The "bad" dancers are usually getting in the way of other people's favourites. Come to think of it "good" dancers usually get lambasted if they're seen as a threat to someone's favourtie. Whether we like it or not Colin wasn't robbed he lost out to the more popular dancer of the series.

What was great about the Colin vs Darren final is that it truly was two non-dancers competing for the prize and SCD was better for it. Since then we have more and more contestants with dance training and as a result SCD has lost a little of its innocence.
