Can we stop with the Ringer threads?
Twinkle toes no

It's kind of pointless and wastes a lot of energy. I think most people are of the opinion that we like different levels of dances. It is what makes the programme what it is ie total novices right up to celebs with excellent dance skills (for whatever reason). I would hate a show where they were all either brilliant or they were all crap. We love our faves for numerous reasons and that's why I tune in every week. My fave can change from week to week.

You do realise this is going to degenerate into yet another ringer thread, don't you?

Is this another "ringer" thread? Good.

For the avoidance of doubt I want ringers only and no journey and joke candidates dressed as crabs or whatever.

I want to watch people dance and not cupboards and ironing boards shuffling abaht.

They can learn to dance in their own time and with their own money.

Well this one does have the words "Strictly" and "Dancing" in the title ...

Nah. There's plenty of great stuff on youtube which I broadcast via Chromecast onto my TV. Broadcasters like the BBC are yesterday's media.

I have seen it done on a Smart TV.

Have you linked up a Bluetooth keyboard?

I prefer to drive it from notebook or tablet..

Undoubtably
But it's a fair point,
The ringer squabbles together with moaning about Bruce and damning Tess' wardrobe are tedious.

Ringer threads are so last year (and the year before that, and the year before that, and....)

I'm just so piqued that this year we don't have an über-ringer like Natalie to vent our collective spleen on,

So unfair!

We have Synchronised Ringahs this year. And then EastEnderFella goes to the ball and wins hearts.

I thought the 'Jake is a ringah' thread was meant to be tongue in cheek? But like you said,OP, it's good to see people of all different levels of ability and training; not all great or all terrible.

Well, I'm just going to say I think it's perfectly valid to discuss how much dancing someone has done already. I don't dislike anyone who has had loads of training - the variety makes up the show - but I am going to expect more from them than someone who is actually a beginner. I'm sorry if that annoys some people but it seems to me a valid thing to discuss.

Surely Alfonso Ribeiro should be classed as a Filthy Ringah?

Lovely dance though.
