So since BK rejoined hollyoaks which death was the worst in terms of they still had life left at hollyoaks or they never should have been killed off. I would've have included EastEnders but I can guess the answer would have been Pat.
I think Anna was a massive mistake amazing actress killed off in a not very good storyline and she should have played a bigger part in the Blake's history.
Sam as well BK shouldn't have ruined her character in the last few months but especially shouldn't have killed her off.
The other one being Claire Define what was the point of bringing her back so she could have a cat fight with Mercedes and be hit by a car. Truly ridiculous.

Jim as another one.

The poll is from after the bus crash as I think BK joined shortly afterwards. 21 deaths since he has joined is awful.

Oh yes how could I forget I'm still trying to get over that truly emotional and dramatic death. He was just connected with the audience. And he's had some of the most iconic lines "Nobody calls me Robert" and "I need control" but at least I will still have my threesome fantasies. I've been crying all morning the best television villain is gone.

Bryan birkwood still does not understand that death now means nothing on this show. The audience simply does not care.
I also find the attitude from the writers towards death disgusting. Yes it's only a soap, but surely it needs to reflect reality even just a tiny bit !

Jim, Sam and Danny.
i really want to say Walker but he was brought in for the Brendan exit so his shelf life was short.

I'm going for Jim. I can understand killing off Anna even if I don't agree with it and think they should have waited longer but Jim was stupid (even if the actor did want to leave they could have left the door open)

I think Anna, Ash, Leanne, Callum, Jim, Sam, Danny and to a lesser extant Lindsey and Texas.

Lindsey was for shock value and I get it because ti worked and led to some great episodes but he then just replaced her with another interfering busy body nurse wth the same name who became Mercedes best friend.

Texas I just think her entire exit story was dreadful from start to finish. I'd have rather she had been killed by Silas.

Anna - waste, Ash - waste, Callum - waste especially as nobody blinked an eyelid about it, Jim - if Carmel were leaving seven months later why not just give her a happy ending with him? She hasn't even done anything of merit for the last 7 months (slash 4 years). Sam and Danny - killing just Danny would've worked better as Leela had been mad at him and it would've further fuelled the feud between Sam and Cameron.

Leanne - I feel like she was only killed because BK hates characters that he didn't work with last time or create this time. She had a strong year and her and Dennis were apopular match. She still had some mileage especially after the death of both her best friends she should've been involved in Wills downfall.

Claires death was a huge mistake too because seeing Grace and Claire together would've been great but I do get that one exists because the other doesnt'.

If forced at gunpoint to choose, I would probably go for Texas or Ash, simply because I didn't hate them. But, honestly, while BK has made numerous mistakes, I wouldn't count any of those deaths among them. They were all expendable. Seamus was the only truly great character (and actor), but he had to go.

I really liked Sam until she knew Danny and John Paul had been having an affair. She had been there for JP after he was raped and although she was entitled to feel angry and hurt, she really turned on him and tried to blame it all on him. I think it all went downhill for Sam after that.

Clare, Jim, Sam, Danny. Everyone else on that list was deadwood or getting very close to it.

Voted Danny, but in reality it was a three way tie IMO between Danny, Sam & Jim.

(I fancied Danny, so obviously he won my vote). Shallow, me?

Edit, Damn forgot about Claire, so it's now a 4 way tie.

Sam, Danny, Clare and Jim all utterly pointlessly killed off.

Agree with the other posters, killing off Jim, Claire, Sam and Danny were all decisions.

Was he responsible for Maddie's death? Not that I'm sad she died but I wanted her to face up to her part in the bullying.

The length of that list made me guffaw. What a ridiculous show this has become.

Honestly, I'd vote a good portion of that list if I could. I opted for Leanne though, since she was probably my favourite character at the time and her and Dennis were cute together.

I am still angry they killed Jim off. There was absolutely no need to do it. He seems to kill off people for fun and that list is ridiculously long (and we all know it is going to get even longer over the next few weeks.) I also think it was unnecessary to kill Danny, Sam, Leanne or Anna.

Claire by a mile. She was one of the few characters in Hollyoaks that was consistently solid and there was so much more they could have done with her character. I wouldn't have been bothered about her being killed off if her exit wasn't so dire.

Leanne, Jim and Sam (Danny as well but to a lesser extent.)

Leanne the most though. Then again I wouldn't have minded characters like Callum, Ash, Texas and Anna staying on as I think all had more in them to continue.
