Grace Black - Change of Opinion
Am I the only one who has really warmed to Grace over the past couple of months. I know the producers have said they would show a softer side to her, but I genuinely like seeing her on screen and enjoy watching her.
The concern for others she has shown, plus the odd nod to her dodgy past has finally shown a more rounded character. Long may it continue. |

Grace and Trevor have now become two of my favorite characters and I hated both of them when they first arrived, the fact they both started off as villains and now we are seeing there sofer side is great to watch, Grace's relationship with Nana Mcqueen is in particular great to watch. Lets just hope Kirkwood sees all this and doesn't ruin my new favorite couple in soap.

![]() Could not stand them to begin with although I always had a feeling they would show a softer side to Trevor but I didn't think they would with Grace. |

Writers forget that nice characters can still be interesting.

Alright i'll admit i was wrong. I like Grace & Trevor and their flower shop. Bringing in Marlena was very smart.

Watch out. They'll both be killed off in a few weeks now that you like them. That's how it works.

It annoys me when there is a U turn in a character. I always liked Trevor because his softer side was revealed pretty much straight away but Grace was this hard core gangster who would happily kill someone on a daily basis. I also remember her telling Trevor she never wanted kids and now it's all IVF's, surrogacies and being concerned for Marlena and Esther.
Her character IS much better now but I don't find her personality transplant all that believable. |

I also like Grace now and I'm shocked I do. I thought Mercedes shooting Grace would make Grace worse but luckily it's been the complete opposite. I like the IVF and surrogacy storyline and hopefully with Big Bob gone they don't have to revolve around gangsters but I'm sure they will introduce a new one soon to ruin it all. I also love her relationship with Esther and Marlena as well as this it helps that Tamara Wall is a very talented actress.

LOVE THEM! I couldn't stand grace to begin with, even knowing she was so cold because she felt unloved, but now she seems human with it. There is this side to her that you know could turn, but seeing her with Esther and nana has shown that she does have a heart. I love how Trevor adores her - if I had a man that looked at me like that.......

Her character IS much better now but I don't find her personality transplant all that believable. He genuinely tried to stop Clare from detonating the bomb to get Mercedes and I am concerned that Dennis blames Trevor for it as apparently he blames someone. It was Clares fault for the destruction and Trevor actually dived and saved Darren's life. He also saved Tony and put his life on the line as couldnt shoot him and because of this Fraser was going to kill Trevor (till Grace saved Trevor) Also saved Teegan from Grace pushing her over a cliff and pretty much really become a much nicer person. I also like how Grace is changing as well. Dont forget Brendan changed and he killed 4 people (a lot self defence i know) and people do genuinely change and regret wrong they did before. |

I used to hate Grace and most of the time I hated Trevor, but both have become great characters.
I love Trevor's knowledge of everything and their pregnancy storyline, they are not good to watch in gangster storylines, but I am looking forward to watch the surrogacy storyline, I just hope it doesn't end with them losing the baby and even worse would be them losing the baby thanks to some gangster trouble from their past. |

Humanising Grace has really helped her character grow. I find her much more interesting now than when she was trying to be a hardcore gangster. Her and Trevor work well together, and it's kinda weird to think that they are one of the very few stable couples on the show.
I don't think her wanting a baby is out of character. When she said she didn't want children, that was b/c she didn't think she would be a good mother; she also said that she doing this b/c Trevor wants children, but I think she's slowly come round to idea more and more. I also like that its, bizarrely, given Esther a purpose. |

I'm exactly the same and Ive said this before but I'll say it again. I despised Grace when she first came in but recently, with the toning her down a bit and her determintation to have a baby, as well as her friendships with Esther and Marlena, she's become one of my favourites.

I've found myself warming to her since they killed off Fraser (therefore dutching the whole Fraser loved Clare more thing) and they've toned down the whole agressive part of her personality. She is a much more human and believable character now, more rounded and developed instead on ine dimensional. I really enjoy her scenes with Esther, and now they seem to have struck up a genuine friendship after tonights first look episode which I hope carries on for a long while yet.

Her character IS much better now but I don't find her personality transplant all that believable. Holly is another character that was changed for the better when she was recast. Hopefully the writers will learn that people find pantomime villains boring. |

I still can't stand the bitch. Making her "nice and sweet" isn't going to work for me. Just comes across as a forced and desperate plea and attempt to make her "likeable!" Or "tolerable" in order to forget all the bad she did and how vile she used to be in her early appearances. I still haven't forgot about the way she recently threatened Esther into being her surrogate and they obviously performed the hero scenario with her to make her look like the goodie and it would obviously make Esther change her mind.
Not surprised that people love her now. I still despise her and Trevor too. Awful characters and thy certainly wouldn't be missed by me if they were gone. |

I must admit I've had a complete change of mind on Grace. I always quite liked the actress - she seemed very nice in interviews - but the writing really was dire for them both since she's come into it. I've liked Trevor for a while; he was the only watchable thing in the whole Fraser debacle. I'm really glad they've gone this new route, although I still Trevor and Ste should be doing comedy crimes together. They'd be funny partners now Trev's a bit soft.

I don't love Grace but she's much better than she used to be. I enjoyed her scenes with Nana after she got shot, and am interested in her relationship with Esther.

ive liked trevor since he joined. While i never thought grace was as bad as some people make out & even now she has done far less than universally adored characters as brendan i was never a huge fan.
But i like her blossoming relationship with Trevor , nana mqueen & Esther. There's nothing wrong with making her more human once her dad was killed the main negative influence was gone. Of course her softer side will come out. People thinking otherwise do annoy me. I like her a lot now. On a personal level her fertility battle has really made me warm to her because i can relate. For women like us its not a bed of roses & it makes a change from every soap teen or woman being fertile Lindsey & her 3rd pregnancy in 5 minutes is unrealistic & rather insulting frankly to see. It is refreshing to see a rare case in soaps of a couple having problems. However it isn't as quick as it took for them to go through ivf etc , it is a battle to get doctors to do anything but it is better to have it feature on screen either way than not. |

I loved Grace specially in her evil time! I know people didn't like her then but I prefer her then. I've always said look back at my posts. I know we are seeing a soft side to her but I hope it's just as soft side and not a entire personality transplant. I hope we still see evel Grace too.

I think Esther stealing the £50,000 will prove the making of Grace. This was money Grace and Trevor owed Big Bob, and Nana disposed of, which was how Esther found it. Now that Big Bob is dead without them having given him the £50,000, Esther has unwittingly been an enormous help to Grace and Trevor. And this is even before Grace saved Esther's life at the Ozzie (pardon Trevor's accent!!!) and Esther agreed to be a surrogate...
