Looks like a Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett duet for results show on 19th. As I have tickets (for the 18th) I was wondering whether these guest appearances are always recorded in front of the studio audience?

Nah!! It's his phrasing and his hold on the meaning of each song that matters with TB. In his own idiom there is no one better than Tony Bennett, still, FACT!

)See where you're coming from, to be fair. Even back in '63, apparently, some reviewers complained about his voice but he had touch or feel or whatever you want to call it that fills a concert with energy. His Carnegie Hall concert is in my top hundred CDs, and it's hard to get on that list!
Plus I can't knock a guy who has been a spokesperson for civil rights, liberalism (in that old sense, not the neo con shite), openness and kindness for all of his long life. Goooo Tony

I applied for the 18th not knowing this but I love Lady Gaga - going to see her twice at the 02 this year. The opportunity to see her in such an intimate venue has me dying of jealousy! Enjoy!

Yep, I agree. The first time I heard it I liked it but on each subsequent listen it's quite clear that Lady Gaga cannot sing this type of song. Sound like she shouts some of it.
I've forgotten what Cole Porter they do??? 
Listened through to their CD on release and thought she was good in parts and got it and then was less good in others. On the other hand, in the context of TB collaborations, I prefer her to Bono…
