CS: is there anything interesting in it at all?
I know this topic in itself is becoming tedious and boring, but I cannot believe how tedious and boring Corrie is. I know there are loads of us turning away in droves and I hardly bother watching it, but I do occasionally turn it on to see what's going on.
NOTHING! Apart from Peter's trial (over which there is no tension whatsoever), I can't see anything happening at all that is interesting. Kylies drug abuse is dull (and annoying as it seems to be the only reason poor Max was given ADHD). The eternal strife over Leanne's lovelife (just who cares anymore?). Am I missing something? Pitiful. |

Last I saw it was incredibly predictable and dull. It's worse than Eastenders was during its rough patch but not half as enjoyable to make fun of.
The Hat urgently needs sacking. If they need an interim producer then ITV know I'm happy to take over. |

I love Corrie.
It doesn't have to be action all the time - real life isn't like that, is it ? |

Oh you've missed the best bit about Tina's storyline Rob looking sweaty every episode along with Peter. It's truly exciting.
And don't forget the gripping fall of Tyrone with a great conclusion of Jason buying him a drink. And don't even get me started on the most amazing newcomers the Nazeers. Wonderful award winning actors playing gripping parts. Oh and who could forget the iconic couple Lloyd and Andrea. Amazing chemistry and the wonderful Neil to cause a stir. That's what has been going on for the past few months over and over again. |

Deirdre made her special trifle the other night. How much more drama do you want, OP?

....... just a shame that when she launched it across the room, it didn't make contact with Tracey's head on the way.

Not as tedious as this forum. No matter what happens they complain, if it was constant action they would complain. I'm sure there will be a stunt next year, that should easily please some (not).

It doesn't have to be action all the time - real life isn't like that, is it ? for example a scene in the cab office with eileen, lloyd and steve talking absolute drivel, but highly enjoyable. a scene with norris and emily, (when they were at the nazir's for eid, norris was so funny) and mary just makes me smile constantly. also the likes of ali king and david neilson just own the screen when they appear together. |

good post, i agree, corrie's strength is the mundane, the ordinaryness of people's life's the other soaps do not touch on.

It's so bizarre, it works ![]() Also, If i wanted high octane stuff every night of the week then I'd watch a Hollywood blockbuster

I love Carla and Roy's relationship too.
I think/hope the next few weeks will be good with Peter's trial, his exit, the Carla and Rob scenes, Rob and Tracy's wedding and Rob's exit. |

I haven't watched it all week, some parts are okay but its just not interesting enough for me to justify time to watch it, I may watch it in the weekend on iPlayer if I have the time.

Everyone of the present S/L are boring as hell....I keep popping in from time to time but within a few minutes I switch off....Deirdre.Peter Tracy luv and Rob are the only highlights at the moment and three of them are leaving soon and I didn't think it could get any worse

I've barely watched for weeks..... it's gone flat, as most soaps do from time to time, and there's nothing to keep me entertained for 30 mins. The advert for Peter's trial, which I saw for the first time last night, didn't even give me much interest, to be honest, as we know Rob's leaving on Nov 5th, Peter's leaving soon after and Carla's taking a break, so they're all going to be gone probably by Christmas, finishing the storyline, basically.

Peters trial next week and the rob stuff is their biggest thing, but the viewing figures are shit compared to what they were last year, no one is interested!

It's a bit more light relief compared to Eastenders, especially at the moment with the Linda rape story line which I'm finding quite distressing at times. I've always preferred Corrie.
