Does anyone know why Donny is here this week? Are they having 5 judges or is one of the judges having a night off?

Everyone seems to think he's here as a fifth judge, for this one week only

That's a bit odd for week 3!

I imagine he was the biggest star they could get to glamorise Movie Week

He's definitely a fifth judge, meaning a maximum score of 50 points this week.

The only advantage I can see to this is that there's potentially less ties on the leaderboard.

for one week and I think it is because X Factor live shows start this week

Len's missing DwtS for the third week in a row, so he's definitely around. (They have Jessie J sitting in his seat this week).

I think it's because Donny's on a promotional splurge

In all seriousness - I can't see Donny stealing any XF faithful ...

Wash your mouth out this minute......Puppy Love...Genius He also won the USA version... so at least he will have some empathy with the celeb dancers.

Donny impressed me on ITT - talked like someone who understood how to be a judge.

Just another of their gimmicks . Don't think it will affect the scoring unless he's completely out of step with the other 4 .

I really like Donny. Usually I would be moaning about insufficient dance experience but I do think for one week it will be fun having him on the panel.

I liked him too! He seems a centred kind of guy, and he really does appear to have got himself up to speed with the show, which is respectful and fair. I'm going to like him. He's not treating it like a sinecure

I think it would have been better if they had got someone from a professional dancing background on the panel such as:-

a) a former SCD competing professional;
b) a celebrity who is famous for having a career in dancing, having possibly been dancing since childhood (i.e. Michael Flatley, Bonnie Langford, Lionel Blair etc);
c) bring back Arlene

Puppy Love! Oh, how my 9 year old self swoons! (I even subscribed to Osmonds World magazine and know his favourite colour is purple and he that stuck his finger in an electrical socket when he was little, and became fascinated by things electrical ).

I did have to laugh at ITT when he was talking about posture - his was dreadful on DwtS.

I shall have to watch through my fingers on Saturday - I just find him too cringey

Think he will make me cringe too - as for the comment he made re Jake - I though his hold and top looked a bit stiff and he thought it was fab - then again he will only be able to judge from what he likes - having no tech knowledge

Donny won the USA version and he said he will 'feel' and know what they are going through.

he is over here to promote his new cd, and he is not cringey at all but a real star and works hard.. as you can tell I'm a life-long fan of the Osmonds.

For any Donny fans - he's also on Loose Women on Wednesday

For only the second time I've set to record SCD (I usually watch XF)

The first time was when JB from JLS was on the celebrity show (and won it) and now I'm taping to see Donny

Oh, and as an ex - Xtra factor presenter, it will be nice to see Caroline again

An odd choice for the judging panel I've got to say, although he always comes across like a throughly nice bloke. It's just seems a bit random?

You can't say whether he's cringy or not .. our cringe glands are all different. He sets mine off for sure.

He's not the only one. He's completely ruining tonight's show for me.

Well I got that wrong. Glad he's here just one week.

Whoever applied his make up should be sacked. He is bright orange with chestnut eyebrows.

I'm guessing he managed to put his own wig on though.
What a fright it looks.

Me too. His 7 for Scott just for the sake of it was pathetic. Has anyone with so little dance ability got a 7? I bet he would have given Dave a 10!!!
