Help with scart for surround sound/video sender
jlighthi

When I bought my new DVD surround Sound system I didn't realise it didn't have a scart connection. So I can't now use my video sender with it. What can I do. Is there something I can buy?

What is it you want to send? If it's DVD then it would be easier and better to get another DVD player for the remote TV. If it's say Sky then just use the SCART from that.

Can you use a HDMI to scart convertor, plenty of these on Amazon.

One very important piece of information missing.

What is the make and model of the system. No-one can tell you what (if anything) you can use if we have no idea what we are dealing with.

The video sender has a scart connection. So it can connect to a sky box or tv. But if we want to play our DVD in another room we now can't do that as it has no scart connection. Only HDMI.

There are plenty on Amazon. They cost approx twice as much as a cheap DVD player. As has already been suggested get a cheapnDVD player for the other room.

But you haven't said what DVD system you have so it is impossible to advise properly what options you have, if any.

Just because there is no SCART does not necessarily mean there is no way to connect the video sender. There may be a set of AV sockets you can use but if we don't know what kit you have we can't say if this is an option.
