After researching all the nasty stuff in so many of our toiletries, I gave up on commercial shower gel. I now use organic liquid Castile soap which I decant it into an old shower gel container mixed with a few drops of my favourite essential oil. The soap is expensive but it goes a long long way and I believe it may even work out cheaper.
What nasty stuff is in commercial shower gels?

I'm not claiming every product contains every single one of these but if I am going to be slathering my body every day with something, I prefer to err on the side of caution.
Your body.
Your choice.

The problem with these types of resources though is that they tend towards the naturalistic fallacy (assuming that everything man-made is bad and therefore everything that is natural is good).

I'd be very surprised/interested to read any scientific study which alludes to dangerous chemicals being allowed into our products. Surely there's an approval process and required testing before the products are released to the public?

It's half price at Tesco - £1.10 until the 24th November if anyone wants to grab some, or are too embarrassed to go into a pound shop.

Really, I usually only bought it when it was on offer, probably paid full price just out of curiosity to begin with though - they looked so appealing. My Mum just came back and waved a tube of toothpaste at me she got in one and told me never to buy it from the supermarket again.

Last one I tried was Pineapple Original Source. Preferred the lemon though, mint made me uncontrollably tingle in private places too.
After reading a lot of the reviews by men on amazon, I wish it woke me up too in that region especially in the mornings but no nothing nada zilch. No effect. Nothing wakes me up lol

The mint one is horrible. It's like setting fire to your skin!!! If you get it on your man bits you'll be in agony. Not sure how Original Source hasn't noticed one of their products is like acid.

I bought a new moisturising pineapple and coconut one recently and it was gorgeous. I felt like I was bathing in a piña colada.

Sainsburys! They had quite a few new ones in and I think it may have been on special offer too with them being quite recently out (always a bonus)
